I hated the rebooted Dante in DmC as well as his uncharacteristically douchey style. And yet, I somehow feel this look is perfect for Nero considering his more intense personality. Dude looks fucking hot - as he should - and I'm super happy they kept this soundtrack style for him. I loved the gothic chorus combined with metal in "Shall Never Surrender" but the new-age electronic style is not too bad either. Super excited to have a new installment in the canon DMC series, and I'm glad you're hyped for it as well. We're men of similar tastes it seems :D
We do not talk about Donte. And I agree with absolutely everything you said, Nero looks more like Vergil now. Dante, one of my favourite characters of all time, looks like a grandpa and somehow the last few seconds of the trailer where they show him was the best part for me. I am ecstatic regarding this game, and sad even as it's going to be the end of the series. But I feel it's gonna be a masterpiece like dmc3, it has to be :D As for the soundtrack, I like this song. Also, I'm not yet entirely convinced on that theory that says Nero is Vergil's son, but if it turns out to be correct then Nero's look -being smoking hot- being closer to Virgil's will be even more spot-on. Good eye, there. Is it really going to be the end of the series? :( Then I really hope we get some damn satisfying closure on the storyline, because I played DMC 4 when I was in junior high and now I've almost graduated from university, so after all this time my expectations are pretty high. :P Still so far at least I could not be happier, even if it's just because we're back to canon DMC. And judging from the trailer, the characters look fun, the mood and the aesthetic of the game look like we're back to good old DMC (feels fucking good, man!) so let's just hope the storyline is well-written and the gameplay is fun and challenging and everything is in place for a glorious finale. I am a bit worried about Dante looking significantly older after I've had him in my mind unchanged for so many years, but hopefully he's going to be a good continuation to the character arc and not some crude quasi-rebellious junkie just because "it has a nice ring to it". Also I'm gonna miss Fortuna City and all its unique monsters, not gonna lie, and I truly hope we'll get some answers regarding what ever happened to Credo and Kyrie, but now Nero looks like he's got his own DMC department going on which is super interesting too. I'm looking forward to killing some cool-looking stuff, too. I loved the hierarchy of Angels in 4, as well as Mephistos and Fausts. :D But yeah I've said it before in your Striker videos and I'll say it again, we seem to enjoy the same stuff dude ^__^

Anyhow Kyrie's name is heard in the trailer so I assume there will be some backstory as well. And I think Vergil is the hooded guy that cuts off Nero's arm to open a portal to hell. This is of course just theorycrafting. And yeah I too at first was like "wtf did you do to Dante" but heck I'll love him even if he looks like a meth addict. I think I'm gonna pass on that link, I have waited too long to spoil the experience in unintended ways. Reading into the trailer is cool, they've probably selected these scenes pretty carefully, but I won't read any leaks that may spoil the plotline. :P Yep I'm pretty convinced that it's Virgil who cut off Devil Bringer, I am going to assume that's to retrieve Yamato. Also Nero gets a new demonic-tech arm, Devil Breaker, that looks pretty dope, I sure hope he gets his old demon arm back though. :D And well, Dante knows how to take care of himself and look up to snuff at all times- and even if not, anything is better than Donte so I can't even be mad. By the way, Nero's Devil Bringer arm is the reason I chose to play a Striker :D the demonic grabs are just too good, man, and summoning literal spirits from hell to assist you with your moves just seals the deal for me. :]
