During cat form fillup, the score for class 10th 12th considers all the subjects. Will the same be considered or the percentage in report card would be considered. Eg: My score in 12th is 81% in my report card based on 5 subjects but considering 6 subjects, it is 79%

Hey there, I was filling up my CAT application form and came across this weird lingering doubt. so in 10th, my score is given in terms of GPA and i got 9.4/10 GPA. there are multiple sites and videos suggesting to multiply the score by 9.5 and we will get the percentage corresponding to the GPA that we got. In the CAT application, there is a section asking for "maximum possible marks that can be obtained" and a section asking for "marks obtained" and percentage. percentage is the obtained marks divided by maximum marks multiplied by 100. then will it be 9.4/10 * 100 or will it be such that maximum marks that can be obtained is 10GPA * 9.5 = 95 and my marks obtained would be 9.4*9.5 = 89.3 . what would i do ?

In my case, I passed my CBSE 10th Standard in 2013 and it is clearly written in my marksheet that my 10 CGPA should be multiplied by 9.5 to get percentage equivalent of this CGPA which is 95 percentage. You should also see your marksheet and do the required conversion. Mostly, CGPA is multiplied by 9.5 for CBSE Board.

99.7 percentile pe nhi mila FMS call esa nhi ho sakta hai because. 99.7 percentile means you are top 650 and FMS calls 707 people in general category only.

Non-engineeer ews female with 95/73/63 and 14 month work ex till date. I have done Pol Sci hons from Du and have played nationals twice and trading in equity markets since three years now. Last year i got 85 percentile in cat and i could convert all the baby iims and almost all new iims with an exception of udaipur and ranchi. I converted iift k and was in the wait list for delhi at 1 in ews category. I still couldn't convert delhi and am preparing for cat 23 since i want to go to top 10 colleges. Your analysis tells me that even at 99+ percentile my chances for blacki are very less. Can you please suggest what should be my realistic expectation and at what percentile.

Whatever is mentioned in the certificate. If the certificate calls it out explicably... then yes. Else it is all subjects by no of subjects percentage

Forget who is saying what. What is written on your certificate... In that it's written 9.4 max is 10 write that ...
Multiply subtraction yeh apka nehi... Do whatever is written on certificate

99.7 percentile pe nhi mila FMS call esa nhi ho sakta hai because. 99.7 percentile means you are top 650 and FMS calls 707 people in general category only.

Non-engineeer ews female with 95/73/63 and 14 month work ex till date. I have done Pol Sci hons from Du and have played nationals twice and trading in equity markets since three years now. Last year i got 85 percentile in cat and i could convert all the baby iims and almost all new iims with an exception of udaipur and ranchi. I converted iift k and was in the wait list for delhi at 1 in ews category. I still couldn't convert delhi and am preparing for cat 23 since i want to go to top 10 colleges. Your analysis tells me that even at 99+ percentile my chances for blacki are very less. Can you please suggest what should be my realistic expectation and at what percentile.
