Doug was a single father when he first met Julie I think. Doug's first wife Hope's mother Addie passed away when Hope was really little and as a single father Doug had to adjust to life as a single father bringing Hope up all on his own until Julie Olson came into his life. Hope's cousin Julie Olson became her stepmother Julie Williams. And so Hope had a mother again. Hopereally adores her father more than anything and shereally loves Julie. And giving Doug grandchildren Bo and Hope made that happen starting with grandson Shawn-Douglas Brady(now played by Brandon Beemer),Zack Brady(accidentally killed by his half sister Chelsea Brady played by Rachel Melvin)and after Zack's death Hope fell pregnant with Ciara Alice Brady-Weston(now played by Victoria Konafel).Doug's granddaughter Ciara is expecting a baby with her husband Ben Weston(played by Robert Scott Wilson). Doug and Julie Williams(Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth-Hayes)have had one heck of a marriage. Bill and Susan marrying as Doug and Julie on Days of Our Lives and then marrying a few years later in real life.

This is great, but couldn't you get permission to show the entire scene? You know, Doug: "Make a wish?" Julie: "Don't need to. Everything I ever wished for in life has already come true.....my love." Julie reaches up and holds Doug's face while pulling him into a tender but impassioned kiss. I know, everyone who's come to watch this clip has already seen it. But.....it's just soooo beautiful.
