Ah . . . those nights with my yellow Sony Sports walkman listening to Steeltown in the 80s. These searing riffs coupled with sagely, inspired lyrics, a guitar virtuoso and one of the tightest bands ever.
in some parts of this song marks drumming sounds like galloping horses .dont notice it as much on the record.but still one of the many hidden depths to steeltown the best album ever recorded.
Steeltown is my absolutely favourite Big Country album. So underrated, yet so exquisite! It was definitely the 'darkest' sounding album they produced in my opinion.
I love Big Country, but my one complaint with regards live recorded shows was that they played similar sets on every CD.I would heve loved to have heard this one and Bang the Drum and 7 Waves with great sound recording. They have so many great songs they should have showcased them better.
given BC is my favourite band and I have no video of them, I'd love to discuss a trade/purchase. I have been a BC fan since 1983, Skids before that, remote from North America. I only saw them live twice. I rarely go a day without listening to my friends for inspiration and sanity checking.
Yes, I do enjoy! Stu was a pen-pal of me and corresoonded with him 'til he left us.

Ferocious version of this thunderous juggernaut of a song! Thanks so much for uploading!
Glad you liked it. I wish the sound quality were better, but this one is of better quality than the other live version I have.
I've heard this version before, and love it. Thanks very much for sharing this great tune with the rest of us.

I got this in a trade from a fellow Big Country fan. I have no idea who the original recorder is.
Pity the world didn't heed these lyrics on STEELTOWN
I, corresponded, (sorry for the faults!)
Am I wrong or is Stuart playing quicker as on the record?
