This is by far your best video. I had sleeples nights about this. I switched this summer to a 19" 8,5j et45 wheel and lowerd my cupra 25mm. Now it scrapes on the front. Rear is fine but front... Fitted now 2 bumpstops at the front (on each side) and its a bit better but not how it need to be. Tomorrow i check the stock rims and uwe your math :) Thanks Kev, this is REALLY helpful and wil be used in the future :) Greetz from Holland!
Thanks Tim, very kind of you!! Was worried the maths part was a little bit confusing, but hopefully it can help you a little in getting the wheels spot on 😊👍🏻
Great content Kev, I love the look with spacers - the only problem with the MK2 Cupra R wheels, the spokes stick out too much!! So when driving through width restrictions some super narrow ones, it's worrying at times and I've curbed mine. I would love to add the spacers like yours but it means it'll be even wider and with all the width restrictions I have to go through I can see the rims needing refurb's all the time! Your car looks stunning and awesome content as always!
Thank you mate, that's very kind words from you. And yes the curve of the spokes on these wheels is a pain. My rear wheels get severe road rash on them as stones are flying up across them from the front of the car. And that's a shame about the width restrictions that you'd be experiencing, and the wider track on the Cupra R would be an added headache for you. Appreciate you watching mate as always, and supporting me throughout 😊🙏🏻
salut moi pour ma cupra j'ai installé également des entretoises et j'ai mis du 10mm à l'avant et 12mm à l'arrière si cela peut te conforter dans ton choix pour moi c'est top merci pour ton explication mathématique 😂😂😂
I have a question. Did you think of installing an oil temperature sensor? Because for some unknown reason Audi thought that it is not so important to have your oil temperature measured in a relatively high performance petrol engine. I don't know if this solution exists but it would be perfect if it could be added to ECU and then displayed using for example PolarFIS module for MaxiDot.
I've never thought of installing one, but it would be handy. I wish could be displayed or at least scrolled to and checked occasionally as standard. I can't think off the top of my head if there is possibly a signal for oil temp coming via the obd port, but I'm looking to do a video with my OBDeleven dongle again for some diagnostic checks, so I'll look to check that at the same time too. If there is a oil temp measurement deep in the system, I don't see why polarFIS shouldn't be able to pick it up.
@@NorthCoastWorkshop Newer cars on MQB platform have oil temp as standard it seems. I have polarfis on my Cupra R, but reading of oil temp is always at -60 deg. C, so there isn't a sensor installed in the engine. I don't know if you have polarFIS yourself, but it is very handy. It can for example clear faults, parking mirror mode (left or right mirror goes down for you to see curb) and all sorts of measurements. Boot pressure, torque, power... list goes on.

I removed the front spacer.. Didn't really need them but like yours the rear did.. Also my steering felt heavy with front spacers..
I can't say I've felt a difference in the steering, but yeah the front doesn't require widening as much as the back 👍🏻 cheers for watching the vid 😊

Your sized spacers sound ideal 👌🏻 Mine were a little big 😅🙈 but thank you for watching especially through the boring maths bit 🤣🧮😴
