These people I used to tailgate with would through huge parties in the parking lot, and almost no one had tickets. They's just stay out there and watch the game on big TVs while eating bbq and drinking. It was a blast!
I'd take easy clean up over wheels any day. In all my camping and traveling, I can't remember one time I had to wheel or carry a grill any significant distance.
great video. What do you think about the Weber Q's cast iron skillet? I got one and only used it twice because everything seemed to stick and burn/bond to the surface. Before the second try I seasoned it in the oven but that didn't help. It's like the cast iron is too porous. Your thoughts?
I'd say it's worth a look. Weber makes the Traveler now which is very similar. The Qs are also pretty amazing for portable grills. I just picked up a Weber Go Anywhere charcoal grill and I'll probably review that next. Cheers and thanks for watching in OZ.
I had one and gave it away. Too much heat for the volume under the top for me. Weber figured out that ratio with the Q, which I love and bought based on your videos.
Definitely not the greatest grill, but perfect for an apartment renter who can't have charcoal. Mine was free through giveaways from Uline orders at work, so I can't complain about price.
Great to see you again ;) Nice video, looks nice and easy for travel grillin', and easy folding it together ;D Great looking sausages ;)) Greetings from Denmark ;D
Good review, but I think your Weber Q with a stand is far superior. Why? Cast iron grates and aluminum firebox. Same as any high quality full size grill. (Broil King, Napoleon, Weber, etc.) I don't understand why these lower quality chinese made grills are so popular when there are much better options. Example, I recently bought Napoleon's TravelQ 1165 (orange) which has a cast iron grate for 150 CAD, probably around 117 USD. If you haven't tried one out yet, I can say this little portable grill puts others to shame! Thanks for the video!
@@GallaghersGrub Hey, sorry. I'm not knocking Chinese made products. My TravelQ was also made in China and the quality is fantastic. All I meant was that there are 'lower quality' and 'higher quality' made products. In comparing Road Trips to other grills at my local store, I wouldn't put them in the 'higher quality' category, especially when they're priced similar to Weber Q1200's . Just my opinion, no offence intended.
I no longer have the Roadtrip, and I've never used the Weber Traveler, so probably not. I'm sure someone else on UA-cam has done this comparison though. Cheers Tom!
@@GallaghersGrub thanks. It was the hose. Everything was brand new. Did process of elimination and only between the hose and did it seem to be have built up gas pressure.
I just went out on a camping trip this past weekend and the same thing happened to us. Extra Coleman hose i bought to connect to the 20lb tank would not work so had to go out and buy a couple little bottles of Coleman propane at Wal-Mart and then it worked fine! Sounds like Coleman needs to take a good look at who is making these hoses because this is not the first time I've heard this about the hose!
0:07 Attention all two camera UA-camrs: When you try to get fancy with two cameras, you have to actually turn your head and look at the camera that you edit to in your final video. If not, you’ll look like you have OCD and you’re staring off into nowhere.
@@GallaghersGrub Of course! That’s why you see professional newscasters and sportscasters looking at the wrong camera everyday. How do you figure that’s incorrect? 🤦♀️
That is actually a real multi-cam filmmaking technique. It’s a modified cutaway-point-of-view shot. This technique is commonly used in interview production for dramatic effect. It creates a second perspective designed to draw the viewer into the screen in almost a “third person” POV.
Howdy Brian. Heck I don't know how I missed this? Looks like I need to check the " way back machine " for the last few months and see if I missed a few others. Anyway I like your review you did. Loved the removable tray for cleaning, damm good. And as far as being a Webber " fan boy" there's no reason to be apologetic about that. Webber been around for a long time for a reason. Oh sure, they have made a few mistakes along the way ( the roll out for their pellet cooker was a doozie. But what the hell. Anyway have a great day. By the way, VERY similar to the Sheboygan Hot Tub, still my favorite video on your channel and the best recipe of that year for outdoor cooking by far on UA-cam. 😃👍🌭🍻🌤
I like this grill, but it's a bit tinnie. It cooks great, but doesn't feel quite as robust as the Weber Qs. It's a good portable propane grill, but doesn't seem like it will last that long. BTW: I think my next purchase will be the Weber Summit Kamado E6. For $1k, I think it's the best deal in bbq
…you’re supposed to fill the drip try with water, so that it’s even easier to clean after cooking. Check the directions if you don’t believe me.
Someone else mentioned that and I looked it up. You're right.
Man I wish the Weber Q had that removable tray option. Looks like a solid tailgating grill! Another great video. Stay warm up there!
Thanks 👍, I still prefer the Q.
When I visited America, I went and saw giants vs cowboys and MetLife and thought tailgating was the coolest thing. I wish they did that in Australia.

I had one of the earliest models of the Road trip grill. I really like the updated LX's improvements. Thanks for sharing.
Right on! I think it's a very good choice for someone who needs a simple, inexpensive portable gas grill.
Please make more videos. Keep on grilling 👍🏻 greatings from Germany.
More to come! Just been very busy lately. Published one today. Prost!
The removable drip tray: the one question I had with this setup. Nice part of the design!
Yeah, the lack of wheels is a bummer, but the removable drip tray seems like it could be a game changer.
I'd take easy clean up over wheels any day. In all my camping and traveling, I can't remember one time I had to wheel or carry a grill any significant distance.
Nice,I sold you this grill on marketplace. Been waiting to see the video of it.
Hey man! Thanks for tuning in and selling me the Coleman. Made a great steak on it last night. Cheers!

I've done some vids reviewing and using the Q griddle plate. I like it. For the Q1200, it's a bit small.
Hey Bro, good to see you back! Very nice tailgate grill, but I'm hooked on the Weber Q.
I still have a Q1200 and Q2200, along with the Weber Kettle. Just don't want to come across as too much of a Weber fan boy. Although I am.
I just ordered one. Can’t wait
Look spot on mate and good to see you back
Thanks Stuart as always. Cheers man!
Thanks for sharing. Will the grill sit flat on a table without the stand?
Yes.
Really like the different options you have with this model. Great Vid!👌
Yeah, the interchangeable plates are pretty cool. I like the burner that can be used to heat up a tea kettle too. Cheers Dan!
Had one of these in 2011 when rreleased in Australia about a year before I bought my 1st Weber great video as always 👌👌

It's a bit tin-nie, but then again so is the new Weber Traveller
Very good improvement with the tray and collapsible stand. I still like my Q1200 for tail gating. Cheers 🍻
Nice. The Q also has the advantage of the domed lid for fitting in larger things like whole chickens and roasts.

It's a good, portable grill. Great for tailgating or camping.
Line the dip tray with foil…easier clean up! :)
I think they recommend filling it with water actually. But foil seems like a great idea. Cheer Chrystal!
Weber has a roadtrip style grill now too. Just sayin
I haven't tried the Traveler yet, and I actually forgot Weber started making them. A bit of a copy cat though.
Nice!
Thanks. I gave this grill to my brother and he loves it.
I just got mine but it will not light! Yelp! I hooked up my large 20 gallon tank. And I suspect my issue is with the hose.
Definitely check the hose. I've had rodents chew holes in mine before. Be careful and smell around. You may have a gas leak on the hose.
@@GallaghersGrub thanks. It was the hose. Everything was brand new. Did process of elimination and only between the hose and did it seem to be have built up gas pressure.
