- This is Gaza, before and after 7 October.
Since the Hamas-led attack on 7 October that killed 1,200 people, Israel’s retaliatory war on Gaza has killed at least 34,000 people and flattened many of Gaza’s neighbourhoods.
So far, 70 percent of all housing units in Gaza have been destroyed, only 10 out of 36 hospitals are partially functioning and no universities in the enclave remain.

True. Israel started this war by killing 15000 Palestinians in 1948, and since then periodically kills more Palestinians. Let alone displacing millions of Palestinians. Making Israel the most dangerous place for Jews on the globe. Even the billon dollar armed fence, iron dome, F35s and all superpowers can not protect Israel any more. Thousands already left Israel since Oct 2023, thousands were removed from north and south Israel.

The Palestinians had the chance to build a safe, functional, and prosperous livelihood. But the first thing the Palestinians did in return was to elect a government that enshrined the goal of destroying Israel in their constitution. The elected government followed through with its promise. Since its founding, thousands of rockets have flown into Israel. Dozens of civilians died in terrorist attacks. Millions of aid funds - intended for civilian purpose - were misused to build rockets, tunnels, and other nonsense. The crimes committed on October 7th like raping women, killing children, or kidnapping a baby, was Humus has been doing for years.
Secondly. Israel behaved more humanely in this conflict than any other conceivable party in any imaginable conflict. It allowed Palestinians to work in Israel, receive medical care or even migrate into their country. During war, they warn civilians where their military is operating. They admit collateral damage and apologize for it. They saved Sinwar’s life giving him a lethal brain surgery. They treated the daughter of Haniyyas daughter for her complex disease in Israel. While Humus was building rockets and tunnels with all the foreign aid, Israel supplied their civilians with free water and electricity.
The situation is clear. In no other conflict the responsibility for the suffering has been so one sided and clear - in no other conflict have the perpetrators been held accountable so weakly. People with voice and power who claim to reject war have the duty to unequivocally name the culprit of this war and do everything in their power to eliminate them. Everything else is responsibility for the resulting suffering and will extend it.

Their hopes to their political solution to their plight have been vanishing. The Palestinians proposed peace with the Oslo Accords, to have their sovereign state alongside Israel, Israel, which was extremely favored by its agreements, never applied these agreements and never gave a state to the Palestinians. Even before October 7, polls showed that the majority of Palestinians were in favor of living alongside Israelis, while a majority of Israelis were against. Israel chose war in 1993, not the Palestinians.

Edit: I learned more on the creation of Israel, which I now realise was unfair. Only 10% legally owned, but 55% claimed and occupied after independence. I understand why the Palestinians are mad. They do not deserve this. Hamas are still terrorists though. I have always been against illegal occupation of land. Both parties should compromise. The surrounding muslim countries make things more complex.
