Your video brought back fond memories of us taking our daughter to Iberostar Ensenachos.
We would spend all week at the Ensenachos beach …wider than Megano beach, quieter, a great walking beach.
Almost booked the Coral village for January, but opted to return to Cayo Largo for two weeks.
It’s just a little bit warmer down in the Caribbean Sea that time of year.
Looking forward to part 2 and 3 of this series.

This is just so true! Hey, have you heard about cayó largo? That place has been our paradise for a couple years, specifically villa lindamar… but now they’re no longer frying out of Toronto, possible Canada😭😭😭😭

I love Cuba and I enjoy every Minute When I arrive !!!
I’m glad you finally got there. It’s my favourite resort in Cuba. We went when it first opened as Royal Hideaway Ensenachos and the coral section wasn’t finished yet but we got a private tour and swore we would return when it was open. The resort was fully staffed and only 35 guests the week we were there. We literally had the beach to ourselves. The pools were identical back then with no water park. The way the resort build was explained to us was that this virgin sand cayo would only have one resort and they had to agree to conserve as much of the nature as they could during the build. They built around trees and bushes and that is why it is so lush and green and the boardwalk is not in a straight line. We finally went back November 2021 and stayed in the coral section and loved every minute of it. Great job on the video and looking forward to the rest. ❤

Well said about built quality. So true. The newer resorts are built to a far lower standard. (4 yr old grand Muthu cayo coco I’m looking at you)

Yes I went to playa vista azul two times in aug and September 2021 the beach was nice but a far walk to the beach and there was no bar on the beach and no food

Hello. I love your video. Visited Cuba 2 years ago and would love to be back. Quick question. My family drinks more water and very less pop/softdrinks, is it an issue asking for more water? Saw the video that they supply refillable 2 water bottles. We would be needing more than that as my kids only drink water and apple juice :D and do they refill the water daily? Thank you in advance for your reply.
The best thing to do is bring a refillable water container and take it to the bar they will replenish it for you

We eat everything and willing to try just about everything. Just wondering about shortages! Bottled water? Food? Mix for drinks? Medical supplies? Your videos are very helpful. We just stayed at the coral resort on ensenachos from the 15-25! Everything was amazing! Before we left i found your channel and watched a bunch of your recent santa maria videos to see what the weather was doing and to my suprise we may havr crossed paths while we were there😂

Nice video. Funny how you mention it being an old resort. I remember almost booking this resort in 2006 but was apprehensive because it was just opening and was worried they were still ironing out the bugs. Side note….Can you iron out bugs? We had decided to chance it because it was a 5 star, for a good price. Anyway it was too late! Still kind of regret it.

This friend of mine is one of the best hotels in Cayó Santa Maria.
Can you clarify if the $619 was for 7 days? Looks wonderful! I just came back from Sanctuary (loved it, beautiful views from the outside dining area where you shot your video there near the Nativa bar, and short walking distance to everywhere) and we past by iberostar lobby when picking up people on the bus to the airport. Looked elagant and grand! Will definitely consider this place next trip. Thanks again for another great video!

Hi just got back from the Royalton in Varadero and had a nice time- love the beach! I've never been to Santa Maria, do you think that the beach (water) is nicer in Cayo Santa Maria or in Cayo Coco then Varadero? We go to Varadero because it's close to the airport and there are things to do but would like to take the kids next time. I'd appreciate your opinion. Love your videos!!

We have been to Santa Maria once and loved it. Bus ride is a little long with small kids but we are thinking of going back there. Is that other beach part of the resort or separate? that is a killer deal for a week.

What does this mean?
@@jl7662 prices start to go down about six weeks away from the departure date. They’ll go down bigly 7 days out, then again three days out, give or take. Flights very rarely sell completely out but if they happen to you can always just pick somewhere else, fly out of a another nearby airport, or choose the day before or after.
@jl7662 If you have the flexibility to wait until 7 days or less before departure when booking your trip via Sunwing, the prices tend to drop substantially., especially in the autumn & spring ... that's been my experience.
@@stevenmaw7491 i am looking at dec. 11-14 to potentially book but tomorrow is their last so called cyber monday deals so im not sure if i should wait … It’s also tough to pick a resort as the reviews, whether its for a $500 or $1200 stay seem to have all kinds of issues. If you’ve been recently, do you have a recommendation for a reliable resort with clear water beach and normal/decently clean room?

I know you liked this one slightly better (according to another video you posted). Price is exactly the same for us for 2 rooms 3 adults. How to decide?

I stayed at the hotel from September 13 to 18 with my family. The hotel is excellent; it is clean but needs repairs to be maintained. You have to move around in carts because the distances are long and only one or two are working, so you can wait for more than an hour in the rain, with mosquitoes and nothing. The food was very scarce and needed variety. I did not eat meat during those days. In the buffet, there was only chicken cut into three in sauce or some breaded fish, and lots of carbohydrates. The food improved a little when Canadian tourists arrived, and soap and paper also appeared in the bathrooms in the lobby. If the hotel charges me for having five or four stars, I pay like any Canadian; what is the difference? If they need more resources to keep the hotel open, close it or lower its category, but do not sell a pig in a poke. It's a shame, but I feel cheated.

Chicken and fish are meats!!! and yes the buffet are vary lack luster in the Low Season hense the Price!!

Question - any idea on the difference between the various room categories. It is rarely obvious from the websites - park suite, garden suite, megano suite, duplex suite. What category was your room - cause it looked very nice?

Do you remember which room type you booked? I LOVE Cayo Santa Maria, been about 10 times. Usually I stay at Melia Las Dunas or Royalton CSM, but this resort has been on my list for years to try, but I’ve been hesitant because I love the main CSM beach strip, but this looks great too.
