I like the idea of bondo, if it lasts. All my containers have dimples from the gantry crane operator and the areas near the corners are almost always pushed down which ponds water. Will the bondo be suitable to fill in those areas? Will it loosen or crack over time? I have been considering an elastomeric coating on mine, but have been contemplating what to fill the low spots with before coating it.

The Bondo will last if applied correctly. Follow the Bondo recommendations and remove all paint and rust to make sure the surface properly prepared or the Bondo will just be a temporary solution. - Gregg

Just got a container with some low spots. I tried to "pop" it, but it won't stay gabled, it always pops back down. Would love a little more info on how to pop the roof and make it stay. Am I actually supposed to bend the roof? How far can i go before I ruin it? Is that even possible? Thanks.

This is difficult. With mine I used three hydraulic jacks simultaniously. Starting point was sections with a minus 1" dip (should have about a 1" positive crown). I used a 2X4 about 7' long and jacked it up to about a 3" crown and it settled back down to about the 1" crown I was looking for when the jacks were released.

What he is pointing to is very clearly the bondo he then says to use.

We as professional (30 yr) container MR specialist have to disagree with your un-dent suggestion as it is not to correct way to solve the problems.

Should I cut out the rust and weld in new metal and then use rust oleum paint then what should I put on the roof?
