at least in 1-14 you think “well I never stood a chance that’s okay”. But 14-14 is like “I could have beaten that”. It’s even worse when you lose a point despite having priority . I do that way too much 😔
Another noteworthy one though not featured on here is the match point from the team event at the London Olympics, Mens Team Foil, Japan vs Germany. That final round was on a knife's edge between Ota and Joppich. Ota BARELY won, that's how close it was. In the end, the final call was correct. It was such a close match and the match point as well (it was 40-40, priority round).
@@christianalbertjahns2577 I went back and checked and you're right. It was 41-40 for Japan. That was my bad. I'll amend it right now. Thanks for that.
It was indeed VERY unlucky 😬 The magic of 14-14s 😒 I remember winning a bout 14-14 once with the laziest, worst counterattack of my life and the other dude just straight up missed, that how it be sometimes
There is a universality in the feeling of disappointment and acceptance when losing a 14 14 match. Its such an empty state.
14-14 losses are far from fun that's for damn sure

Yep, when it's all down to chance on 1 touch it's wayyy more devastating
yep... especially if you are leading... or if you miss... really just makes you disappointed...
😃 Alaaeldin Abouelkassem the king of clutch 14-14 wins 👑👑👑
Don’t spoil it .. I’m still watching 😂

Wasn't it 40-40 or 41-41 at the start of priority? If my memory serves well, it was definitely not 44-44.

Ah that reminds me! I'm going to make a team match point version of the video 😁
