President De Gaulle meeting members of the Press in a sync sound meeting. He talks on various subjects including the French economic situation and on individual countries value should not be termed in their own currency or valued in dollars but in gold. He seems to make a few jokes. There is laughter at the beginning of the film at some of his comments.

L'homme qui a changé le cours de l'Histoire Monétaire.
En février 1965, le général de Gaulle, face au déficit de la balance des paiements américaine qui augmente à partir des années 1960, met fin à la politique qui consistait à accepter sans limite les dollars américains : il demande aux Etats-Unis la conversion en or des dollars détenues par la France, et fait rapatrier cet or depuis New York.
