7/10 is a great score for this album. It basically matched my expectations. Super excited to see where Teezo goes from here, he's been one of my favourites since I first heard Social Cues back in 2021. Familiarity is one of my top songs for this year
I was kinda surprised by how many bad reviews the album got but at the same time when I first started listening to Teezo a few months ago I definitely got the impression that he was gonna be a niche artist that some people don't get the appeal of at all. But luckily I vibe with what he brings to the table and he's easily one of my favorite new artists of the last several years.
There’s nothing niche about him. The negative reviews are from people that listened to hundreds of albums already this year and understand that there’s nothing odd or experimental about him. It sounds like a cringe inducing Disney musical.

This album is awesome. Teezo's genre fusions don't sound super unique but the way he executes them are one of a kind and put a genuine smile on my face on the first few listens, goofy and catchy. Not something I imagine topping anybody's year end lists but it's still an interesting album to behold and deserves praise. I unironically love listening to the closer randomly turn into a 2013-esque EDM drop.
Teezo receiving mainstream attention in such a short amount of time from the Drake shout and his feature on Utopia really made it seem like the music was facing the wrong audience, this album is so much fun and so overhated seriously

Definitely a fun listen, but It was really goofy, I couldn't see myself listening to any/ most of the tracks in my normal rotation. I listen to Bad Enough and Strong friend all the time though. Like Fantano said, Idk if he really wants people to take him seriously or not, seeing as his features consistently slap for me.

I loved this album! To be honest I was one of those people that hadn’t heard anything he’s ever done except his feature on Utopia so I really went in blind with this. Definitely one of my favorite albums this year.
This is easily my album of the year, and it took me by absolute surprise. It’s way more replay-able than Utopia or any other mainstream rap album that came out this year for me. It’s crazy I e probably listened to this straight through 50+ times now. It’s everything I want in music

Exactly!!!! Those last 5 songs really affect how we have to evaluate the whole album. I can see why he wanted to include them: they express themes of self doubt, challenging expectations (of family), and being yourself… & the album is all about growth & being yourself. But as songs, they are underwhelming. I can’t say an album is great if it doesn’t start off great, and doesn’t end strong. Tracks 2-9 are pretty fantastic to me, so im grateful for those 💕
Weird Al The Strokes & Paris Texas are 3 of my all time favorite artists and I never thought I’d see them all mentioned together so shoutout Teezo for pulling that off
This was easily the most unique album of the last few years. it's so refreshing to hear someone not give in to the dril/trap trends that most other artists will make simply when they get enough clout. Hopefully Teezo continues to stand out on future albums.

This is a masterpiece that isn't heralded only because of the stratified music industry. His production style, the super silly Easter eggs and flare remind me of Weird Al, and as a lifelong fan since the 80's that rubs me the right way. Also some of the most heartfelt and therapeutic lyrics around. I can listen to this album on repeat, and forget that I'm listening over and over for real. I love singing along.
I thought this was one of the better albums I've listened to this year and it made me go back and listen closer to his features with Tyler and Travis. The Travis feature feels like he takes over the second half of that song . I think this kid is special and has a super bright future.

Great take on this album it’s really good in my opinion and I kinda agree with you on some of your points about the album but I give the album a 10 honestly the album kinda reminds me of a short book or a sticky note book the way it started and ended yeah I like this album a lot
The more you listen to this album, you realize it’s not that unique. Each track can be jarring when comparing each track since there’s no consistency. But individually each track is a work of art. This whole album has some aspects of rock, edm, rnb, rap, and funk. He’s an incredible breath of fresh air. One of the best albums I’ve heard this year along with Genesis Owusu’s album. 8/10 for me

i love teezo and what hes been doing but this album just didnt hit, theres a few good songs but overall it didnt feel like the record i wanted
I liked it because the different genres it has. Rock, r&b and some funk. Too easy is the first song I heard that has punk rock and r&b in it.

I have had some really rough times over the years because of mental health issues, and your videos have inspired me to be a better person (I can relate to the ADHD grind). I’m currently trying to get sober and I have been focusing more on music and it has really been making it not as hard.

Great take on this album it’s really good in my opinion and I kinda agree with you on some of your points about the album but I give the album a 10 honestly the album kinda reminds me of a short book or a sticky note book the way it started and ended yeah I like this album a lot

I went into this review hating the album based on the thumbnail I saw. I came out of this review enjoying the album quite a lot.
Wasn’t sure what I was listening to at first but this album grew on me. It’s different and clearly a fun album.

The more you listen to this album, you realize it’s not that unique. Each track can be jarring when comparing each track since there’s no consistency. But individually each track is a work of art. This whole album has some aspects of rock, edm, rnb, rap, and funk. He’s an incredible breath of fresh air. One of the best albums I’ve heard this year along with Genesis Owusu’s album. 8/10 for me
