We have a new 2021 Polaris 570 Ranger with ADC and power steering- just a bit more meaty and stronger than the Ranger 500 but $2500 USA more- we got a solid plastic windscreen, roof, tow bar and beefier tyres as part of the deal. It's for our 72" /yr rainfall with mud from June to November- dairy farm in New Zealand. Being careful about 'running in' the engine and brakes- drive belts - it's what we call 'breaking in' a new motor.
I have a 2015 ETX and fortunately have never seen any issues at all, sorry to hear you did. I upgraded from a Polaris ATV 700 Sportsman and my wife and I got tired of ATV seating and liked the price and seating on the ETX. We do a ton of work on my hunting property and so far the ETX has never let me down. It climbs up muddy field roads like a goat and pulls my 5x8 trailer full of cut trees etc w/no issue. With that said I too have contemplated maybe I would have been better with a 500 or 570. I love Polaris so would absolutely stay in that brand. The ETX has a 325cc engine that makes 31HP so HP wise it was comparable to other Mid size UTV's. The 325 just rev's higher. Thanks for the video, I think these are decent entry level UTV's and a good value!
I wanted to point out the negative in my video but it honestly is a good value. I'm still using it to the date I'm typing this (2019JAN16) & it really has no other issues than what I pointed out. Had the battery die on me last year but that is to be expected with how much it sits between uses. I'm hard on it. I think I'm up around 1,100 miles now.
The re-flash of the ECM will fix it. Talk to your dealer. If they don't know about it, contact Polaris directly & get the information they sent out to dealers about it. Should cost nothing.
Wired i have the same Polaris Ranger ETX 2015 model, and i live in Norway were it is like -15 - -20 degrees celsius on the winter, and i never get that problem.
We had your model, or the model prior in the navy when I was in New Orleans. Was a fun toy for messing around, but they had issues for sure. Couldn’t run them hard or too long. But then again, no one did maintenance on them much which could of been the issue.
You really should get a new fuel cap gasket! If fuel leaks out as obviously shown, water can get in... If you say you and a friend with the same fuel cap problem both have stalling issues you probably have some degree of water in your fuel.
2 things. Is pistol in a mounted case if so thats great doing mine this week? 2nd is that a tag light mounted in dash. They are dark inside hard to see. How u like it ?
Looks like a license plate light mounted on dash. Thanks for replying back. Just bought me one and looking at same tire and wheel set up as well. Thanks again.
Hey, are you still here? I just ran across your video and my 2016 stalls the exact same way you described. I called my dealer, then Polaris, and they don't know about any update or fix your dealer might have been given. Can you post your dealer and their number? I would really like to get this stalling problem fixed! Thanks
I have the 2018 Polaris ranger midsize 500 ago have just over 100 miles mine does have Turf mode want tear up yard I did notice gas leak from cap quit after really tightened after first fill up did notice know rubber gasket on gas cap are they supposed to have one any body else have this problem
No, it actually isn't. The ETX ended up being a failed model and was discontinued because of everything mentioned. They cut corners to reduce costs and try to make up for EPA requirements... this is what they got.
Rick, I think you need to learn to use your spell check my friend. Before trying to call someone something, you should be able to make a legible sentence so they can understand it. Thanks for the comments though!
I have a 2016 and have never had any of those issues. Gas cap has never been a problem either. Mine has been a gem.
2015 was the first year... always some kinks to work out. Mine is still pretty good to this day.

The 570 models are a much bigger frame. Solid!

I'm sure no maintenance didn't help!
@@CallMeColtLLC 0h def man, we ran her hard but she kept on going. Now I’m going to get one
Thank you for posting this!
If your fuel cap is leaking gas then it’s no doubt letting water in. That’s what will make it stall. So I suggest getting a new fuel cap.
I did end up get one. I have since sold the machine.

You're not wrong, but it was an issue with the EFI that Polaris did end up fixing.

The pistol is mounted in a holster. I'm not sure what you mean by tag light in the dash.

Alamo Cycle Plex in San Antonio, TX. It may have only been on 2015 models?
@@CallMeColtLLC Thanks! It's worth a shot.

I think the Polaris gas cap leak is common.
mine stalls also when coming to a stop! gas cap leaked when new trimmed the black plastic sleeve around top of filler problem solved
I will give that trimming idea a try. Thank you. Did you get the ECM flash update from Polaris to fix the stalling problem?
Do you have to take the unit in for Polaris to fix the problem or can one order a new computer and self install?
What is etx????
ETX is the model.
