I LOVE how you give credit where credit is due!!!! All these newer people that weren’t around when Loona was in their prime back when monotreme worked with them have no idea that so many things that are trendy and popular now were headed by Loona long long before, visually and musically. If I hear a SINGLE person claim that they’re copying NewJeans or any other group it’s on sight. Loona pioneered this sound and it is THEIR sound. They deserve respect.

It seems that every agency that the former LOONA members have dispersed to are all open to the idea of working together and I think that is peak HARMONY and it really shows that the strength and chemistry of the girls have outlasted the shit BBC put them all through and that these agencies understand these girls are strongest together

after 5 years.. it’s crazy how well preserved their sound is
i’ve said it for so many years but early loona (and heavy on the subunits) is the absolute freshest sound in kpop and always has been. it’s never just one sound, which creates that signature loona sound; various genres combined in such perfect ways that leave me astonished every single time!!! they’ve unlocked the perfect formula for music that can be experimental enough but perfectly cohesive, and we all know that the industry has (not so) secretly been taking notes since the beginning and failing to execute it as perfectly. to me, even as someone who has been into kpop since pre 2010, loona is the sound of kpop and where kpop is its best

Yes, when the hook came in, that was 1000% better than what I expected. Did you hear that high note that descends into the hook? That is so LOONA. Harmonies on point, production is modern and on point, lows are booming... it's such a natural evolution from Max and Match.

The whole situation seems unreal but at the same time I kinda knew this would not be the end for LOONA, there's something magical about this group it was impossible they could disappear like that
One day Hyejoo said something like: "we don't follow trends, we create trends"
but that was before BlockBarelyCreative subtly changed their concept to make it more mainstream. If they had followed and evolved their concept, LOONA would probably be the original trend-setting group, like NJ does now.
Sometimes a trendsetting group is easy to pick up as they're artistically recognized by other artists or other influential people, and don't bother to look at the charts.
They still have that effect going on. (Reactors count, mind you.)
