- Hundreds of people have attended the pro-Palestine demonstrations in London, with date marking 76th anniversary of ‘Nakba’. They demand a ceasefire, defying political pressure and increased crackdowns across the continent.
Despite accusations of antisemitism, demonstrators, including Holocaust survivors, emphasize the movement’s message of solidarity and humanity, while students and families join the call for justice and human rights. Shadia Edwards-Dashti has more from London.

What exactly are the criteria for an individual to be considered a 'holocaust survivor.' You see many being referred to as such (often for sympathy value), but in order to be one do you simply have to be a Jewish person born prior to 1945 or is there some other additional requirement?
I have said repeatedly that opposing the current government of Israel and it's actions is not anti-Semitic. If the government of Thailand, for example, was behaving in this manner would anybody call those protesting about it anti-Buddhist or if it was the government of Spain, again for example, anti-Catholic?
By now, even those who strongly support the concept of a Jewish homeland in view of historical events should by now realize that the actions of the current government of that state are so beyond the pale that it is now time for them to reconsider their continued support for that government. What do you do if your friend starts to misbehave? Do you really continue to unconditionally support them regardless of how bad their behaviour gets?

C'est intolérable !!! Je ne pardonnerai jamais à Israël de commettre un tel massacre. Je ne pardonnerai pas non plus aux américains, à l'UE, dont mon pays, cette France trahie et roulée dans la boue par Macron (STOP aux accords commerciaux, embargo sur les armes).
Je ne pardonnerai pas à Israël, à leurs fournisseurs et aux médias qui amalgament antisionisme et antisémitisme pour justifier ce qu'il faut bien appeler un génocide (il faut arrêter de nier les évidences !).
L'état ne sanctionne pas Israël ? Alors je sanctionnerai, anecdotiquement, comme un colibri, Israël, les états, les médias et les marques qui la soutiennent.
