Thanks for watching. Yes, reaching around to disconnect the gas door button is the trickiest part. Stay tuned. I fix the climate control in another video coming this week. Thanks again! Corvette Dan.

No problem Jeff. I've done it so many times I bet I could do it blindfolded. Stay tuned. Check this out: ua-cam.com/video/SthLaLIh6Bs/v-deo.html Corvette Dan.
The part that always makes me wanna break stuff. The arm rest. That damn gas door release loved to fall out of place or yank out. I finally just extended the wires to it. I might velcro it in place at some point.
Thanks for the reply and insight. This is another example of why I did the video. Lots of nagging issues with it and folks overwhelmed about tearing the dash apart. It's easy. Hopefully it helps you. I have other parts coming up including the climate display fix itself. Thanks again! Corvette Dan
Had to do this to get the shifter out and re-attach the shifter cable. Damn thing came off and I got stranded in Neutral on the highway lol.. apparently this is common on all C5/C6.
Yes. It snaps in place but be careful. The plastic can become brittle over the years. Thanks for watching. Stay tuned for more. I've got all kinds of good C5 content available on the channel. Corvette Dan.
Not exactly sure. Wedging a small screwdriver in there might work but could strip the fastener. I don't necessarily recommend doing so however. Thanks for the question and support of the channel. Doesn’t look like a stock radio lol would have been nice seeing you remove an ORIGINAL dash to see the factory clips and how it took off for the first time , looks easy , yeah probably have all the clips broken already hahaha
Great video, thanks!

Thanks Dan . That was a big help. If I didn’t misplace one of the screws that would have taken 20 minutes. 😂 -Dan
