Plant mom here!
~Try to keep your plants in one spot, limit moving them around
~ never leave them in the plastic pot that they come in, repot them and use a miracle grow type of soil
~ I water mine once a week, every Sunday(all 35 of them 😀)….so maybe pick a day, set a reminder & try to be consistent. You can also add plant food to the water once a month or so
I was also going to say, stop moving the plants around. Any plant needs to acclimate to their new surroundings before it perks up and looks good.
Also leaves die sometimes and that’s ok!
Agreeing w these comments as a semi new plant mom. And sometimes I only water by look or feeling. But that comes w time I guess

Dark paints tend to look much richer when done in a matte finish. I have done tons of painting over the 30 years of home ownership and I typically doe egg shell but this last time I painted I did deep rich colors and matte was the way to go 100%! the light doesnt bounce off so no glares it just looks lux and rich.

Yes! My other pet peeve is when you follow step 1 and 2 and then step 3 is like “meanwhile, do XYZ” and it’s something you should have gotten started at the same time as step 1 (like boiling a pot of water), and now you’re behind and scrambling to catch up 🙃🙃
I was a professional pastry chef for over a decade and yeah… there’s absolutely no reason to not use box mix lol. Also, your pothos is probably just being dramatic. Leave her in one spot for at least a couple weeks and see how she reacts, THEN try to move her. I successfully kept a pothos alive for 2 years in a bathroom without even watering it, so I’m sure she’ll bounce back. 😊

Love the clothes you picked up from Kohls! That pink sweater set it so cute! Pink is such a fabulous color. It looks amazing on you! I do remember when these sweater sets were popular a few years ago, and now they are back. LOL! I feel like in time all the things once popular come back, just maybe restyled or tweaked. We did Benjamin Moore Essex Green in our master bedroom and love it. We have vaulted ceiling but only painted the walls and left the ceiling white. Was the best decision we’ve made. Love it so much.

I live near hood river/mt hood im from the LA area but im never going back I think this is the most beautiful place in the world. when I first came out here I did a hike from eagle creek to tunnel falls and I had like a religious experience I was like holy shit this place is sacred. im in awe all the time.

The pothos needs to be repotted for sure. They also like high humidity, using a soft spray bottle once a day would probably help. I collect pothos lol. My favourite being my beautiful Snow Queen (green and white variegation), but I also love my little N'joy, my Silver Queen.. Eh, I love them all lol.

My pothos lives in the opposite conditions lol. Dry air, watered once a month or when I see the leaves drooping. But it’s just a regular one from Walmart, idk the kind. I have to keep cutting it back and making babies or throwing them away. Unfortunately, my prayer plant absolutely hates my lack of humidity and is probs going to die.
@taylorwynn Definitely use a well draining soil for tropical plants too!
They are so low maintenance. Literally can let them droop before you water. I have a feeling she may overwater her plants. Got to let most of them dry out before watering again. Go by how the soil feels (moist or dry) not a particular schedule.
Mr Kate does peel and stick wallpaper! They have sone nice greens i think. They just peel back off, so they're perfect for renters! They made it like that, for that reason 😊.
I like the top green for your living room, and the sage is gorgeous for your bedroom. I love that shade! ❤.

My mom always told me to keep a pitcher of water out for the plants and not to use water from tap immediately- something about the chlorine and minerals in the tap water or use rain water if you have a balcony/porch where you can place something to catch the water.
I do this for my one lil succulent I didn't kill lol but yes I had a mom who had a great deal of green thumb lol she swore by setting water out at least 24 hours if not rain water to water plants with.
I have many pothos! A lot of them thrive in my bathroom, and on top of shelves/bookcases!

Pothos do well if you let the vines grow down, so putting it up high on a ledge or something is the trick

Pothos loves lots of indirect sunlight, and keep it moist. You could place a cutting in a vase with water and it will thrive.

I hope you get the Sherwin Williams paint. Get the Superpaint version in Velvet. Its matte but in a buttery way thats almost satin. Its absolutey stunning in green tones and bright rooms cause it changes throughout the day and glows in lamp light
Paint tip! Tap off then calk with clear calk. The edges will be crispy and clean! Just did my walks this green.

We used to”vine leaf” by BEHR for my son’s room and we love it. It’s a good forest green that is dark but still a true green, not blue or grey.

That pothos plant looks like it needs more water!! They can handle low light/need less water without sun but it sounds like it’s getting quite a bit of sun so maybe up your watering and see if that helps 💚 you can also pluck off any dried/dead looking leaves so the plant focuses its energy on the healthy leaves 🍃 😊
I'm certain that I made that same cake for my son's 5th birthday last week. He had requested a strawberry cake for his birthday. It was so good!
Some of my pothos are more finicky than others. They don't like too much sun and they don't like too little or too much water. They hate to be moved. But the ones my husband has in vases of filtered water are super easy and don't mind being moved. Plants have their own personalities.

Loved this video, but on a plant note, definitely needs a repot with a chunky soil but the best way to water your plants and easiest is to fill your sink halfway and let them soak up the water, need a good drink

We did a dark green exactly like this in my office and garage entryway... obsessed with the colour! Sherwin Williams Olympic Range. I think it's got the depth you're looking for and the same tone, but a little bit less saturated. You said you're worried about the one you've chosen being too bright, so thought I'd mention it! Check out Olympic Range!! xx
Watering tip, do not use water directly from the tap. It can be really harmful to your plants. Leave it sit and adjust to room temp if using tap water or used filtered water.

i’ve been needing a neutral matte palette after decluttering and being on a palette no buy for years because I have dozens and dozens. debating that danessa one the patrick ta III. the thing is I have flame red hair and usually wear auburn-ish brows so I even though I wear neutral to cool shadows I need one reddish matte to fill brows sometimes or fill my roots in a pinch if they’re grown out so I haven’t found the perrrfect one yet
Have you thought about one of those clip on mics so it’s not so echoey? (Start of make up section) I know they can be fiddley though.

Unsolicited Plant advice: pothos don’t usually need moss poles as they naturally prefer trailing down. They prefer to be root bound meaning smaller pots.
An un relatable comment, loved the last episode on the podcast with your boyfriend you are so cute 🥰. That being said one of your episodes you mentioned that you worked in an Israeli restaurant so I just wanted to educate people on that topic if possible, just because someone claims something is theirs doesn’t necessarily mean that is true, if you ask your co-host Jess she will also help educate people that falafel, hummus, kabab, Shakshukah, shawrma, tabula, grape leaves (I can keep going) are part of the Arabic, Turkish, North African cuisine, and not in any way shape or form part of an Israeli cuisine. I am from Saudi Arabia in the middle east and I can’t claim that this yummy cuisine is part of my country’s culture even though we eat these foods daily , long story short there is no such thing as a Israeli cuisine, if so they can happily claim all the Jewish food and pastries. One might argue it’s not a big deal but in reality it is, food has a bigger cultural and political impact then we think. Hope you the best ❤ and sorry again for my poor writing skills 😅
