Beautiful. I was born in '69, and my uncle loved playing easy listening music. So I grew up hearing various versions of this tune (Alpert & Warwick's versions of course being the most popular). He loved Bacharach, Johnny Mathis, The Carpenters, BJ Thomas, etc. I liked it, but sadly it wasn't "cool" in the late 70s/80s. So like most kids & teens at the time, I got into disco, rock and R&B.

When I was in grammar school, my mother always kept a radio in the kitchen on top of the refrigerator. It was always on. I always listened. Years later, I had no Idea I was listening to the catalog of Burt's songs. Other artists were played, but Burt dominated the radio during the early to mid 70's.
