WOW.... I am afraid of heights and the road scared the nonsense out of me watching you go by the cliffs, but when you came to the snow and the bike slipped..... So much to like in this video, TDK. Your upbeat and snappy banter, the Epic approach to and ascent up the peak (great drone and camera work), then the capper, the near catastrophic traverse of the scree field, the genius use of your recovery system to escape and then the angst inducing revelation that you would have to recross it to get out. I have to agree with those who have said this is the best motocamping yet. More adventurous than Indiana Jones! Staying positive on a motorcycle is life and death sometimes because you need to stay focused and not lose your cool when the road is sketchy or your bike is needing fixing or you just dump it. The other day my dad was with me freaking out because we took a really bumpy gravel road and we where sliding around everywhere but we lived and our bikes are fine. Moral of the story is even a bad day is a good day on a motorcycle.

BEST part about watching your videos: I can sit in the comfort of my living room and watch someone else sweat bullets and risk life and limb! 😁😁 Epic drone shots and a great ride-along in the mountains. Thanks for the 21 min and 28 sec of 'get your mind off of current events' ENJOYMENT.

Great therapy tdubs. Glad to see I’m not the only one getting into crazy situations, alone and with no help around. Like you said “better than playing video games”. That recovery kit was kick ass! Enjoy the ride my friend.
Your videos are getting better and better with time... Im glad i found your channel... Thanks for being a window for us motorcycle fans around the world... cheers from Argentina!
I can't believe there are thumbs downs. This was a great adventure with various cameras, angles, drone, slow-mo. This would be really cool to watch at a big-screen movie theater. Hopefully, that's what you're striving for one day because you've got skills (motorcycle and video).
Fantastic video! The near-disaster at the end their was totally unexpected.... I'm glad you had the presence of mind to get good video of the whole thing! Thanks for the GREAT videos!
thank you! I didn't expect it either when out riding haha. yeah I thought might as well get some neat footage out of it, wasn't in a huge hurry besides when the sun started going down. no problem, thanks for watching!
I’ve watched a few of your videos. The Pure joy of riding and exploring really shines through. Great video and editing skills. Your upbeat attitude and never say die, let’s see what’s down this road is infectious. I rode through colorado once in 2006. Pretty amazing place. You can have eastern Colorado though. Flat boring. Featureless. . I too am into it. My ride is a klr 650. I’m now living in Oregon. I gotta get out riding more. Oregon is lots of fun too. Backroads forever Thanks. Keep it coming
hey thanks for watching! much appreciated. exploring is so addicting because you never know what lies ahead. for sure I wish there were more trails in eastern Colorado sometimes wide open areas can be interesting sometimes too. very nice, Oregon seem like a great place for a dual sport as well. ill keep them coming, ride safe 😀
The amount of Creativity, Effort and Quality you put into these Videos is amazing, a real gem on youtube. Thanks for entertaining us, and keep doing what you're doing!
I ride mostly solo and this video just showed me how desperately I need a recovery kit! So many rides through shitty places that could have easily gone south. Thanks tdubs, I really need to start using my brains a little more lol
Nice recovery on the bike. If my "pig boy"650 slid down the hill I'd be screwed! Beautiful drone footage and exceptional editing, Very smart to cut a path for the trip home. Coffee time watching TDubsKids always fun. Happy Easter.
thanks! it's super helpful, haha yeah its not a pleasant experience when that starts to happen. much appreciated! yeah I didn't want to take any chances. I love coffee too! thanks hope you had a good Easter!
Reminds me of riding in western Idaho. Not trying to be a backseat rider, but when you come up on a sketchy obstacle like that snow pack, you can’t creep through it. Stop, size it up, then hammer on the throttle and carry as much momentum as possible. Trust your bike to get you out of there.
I was in almost same situation in the Cariboo region of BC, Canada, but with a 422 lb KLR650 plus gear. I know that puckering feeling well. You looked well prepared, and had a good solution, well done!
@@TDubsKid but in my case there were two on the team, so much less danger with two people to wrangle the bikes. That recovery kit is in my list of must-haves, and actually I am pondering that a TW is next...
You had a fantastic ride. I wish we had the scenery that you have. Close call on that slope, wise thinking you had for rescuing the bike. My TW is all ready to go but it's in lockdown LOL. Oh to be free again soon we all hope.
for sure it was quite the adventure! yeah it's pretty unreal how nice it is here. oh for sure, I was thrilled that it worked out haha. dang, I just go out when I want here, try to stay away from people though, it's snowing here atm still gotta wait a bit for riding season to start
Stumbled on your channel researching the Tee Dub. Funny, captivating and entertaining content. Your enthusiasm for this bike and getting out there is refreshing. Subbed brother. Cheers
When I was riding dirt in the 70's I was lucky enough to get to know an observed trials rider. He taught me a lot of trials riding techniques that really improved my trail riding, and kept me safer in some tight spots. If you have the opportunity to go to an observed trials event and meet up with some of the riders they might have a beginners class that could help you like I was taught. There is a trials club somewhere in Colorado. Just search Colorado motorcycle trials, or Rocky Mountain motorcycle trials. The moto trials community is full of great people. Good luck with your adventures and stay safe on the trails!
oh neat, had to be a lot more places to ride back then I would imagine. very cool! yeah I could use a trials instructor to teach me the ways thanks I may have to give that a shot at some point, much appreciated! 😀
Hey man I'm pretty new here but I really loved this video. I'm a huge fan of anything moto camping related. I'd be very happy to see videos from you related to that and especially any problems you encountered throughout your adventures! Really admire your creativity man. Got some good laughs in.
I learned the hard way that recovery kits are a must for deep back-country rides. Thanks for including that in your video. Another fantastic video, TDub!
The video quality is like watching a amazing short movie each time you post. Your editing, attention to detail, and camera work not to mention drone footage is awsome. I'm always excited when your new post pops up. I ran across a folding army type shovel. I may have to carry that now. Not to mention buying a recovery kit. God Bless
thanks! I really appreciate that 😃 glad you enjoyed it! nice yeah those are super useful. have you seen those multi tool shovels?? they are a shovel, pick axe, regular axe, saw, hunting knife. flint rod, fire starter, nail extractor, and glass breaker all in one small package. seems really sturdy too, I got one after this but havn't really used it yet, I need to make a video on it haha. yeah that recovery kit is nice. God bless! hope you had a good Easter
I was hanging on for you. Looked pretty scary. Great recovery, and I thought the way you made the track safer was a very intelligent move. Keep safe when you ride on your own. 👍😁
haha thanks. it was for sure, I scary moment, didn't know if I would be stranded or not. yeah, didn't want to take any chances plus it might have helped the next guy over haha. thanks ill try!
That makes me anxious to get my TW out in the Colorado high country as soon the thaw - and quarantine come together. Great video quality and I am definitely buying a recovery kit!
I know it kills the look of the bike, but I think you'd like the Clark tank for extra range. You don't notice it's any bigger except you aren't running out of gas. You could put it on only when you need it
I am happy to have found your channel. Watching your old content and loving it. I recently moved to Colorado and am shopping for a used trail bike. Can't wait to get out there in the mountains! Thumb up, subbed and shared.
@@TDubsKid Definitely. Bro I have been losing my mind since selling both of my motorcycles to move here. These millions of miles of trails are calling me!! 10-12 days more before I finish this job and get paid and I will have a bike IMMEDIATELY. Looking daily. Any advice on what to get? Im 220lbs 6ft with 31 inch midseam. I owned a 1979 YZ250 when I was kid and had a TTR225 that just got sold before I moved. TTR was a dog. Want something a little more spunky.
Good video...it often helps in sticky situations to remember a motorcycle is a system of gyroscopes....the faster they spin the more stability they add. I believe I would have rolled in with enough speed to keep my feet on pegs where they belong...that and a high visual horizon can add confidance.. It was a good adventure....one that most "adventure" bikes would be hard pressed at duplicating.👍🏻😃
Nice video TDubsKid!!! I am a huge fan of you although you can be my son. I always wanted to own the Yamaha TW200 and after 30 years of knowing the dual sport motorcycle, last year after following you on your youtube videos and adventures I visited my local Yamaha dealer and purchased a brand new 2019 TW200 in black and tan color. After watching your instructional videos I changed the stock muffler to the same one you have the D2. I am 48 from NYC. I hope to someday travel to where you are to meet you in person. I believe I am the biggest and the most overweight owner of a TW200 and the motorcycle still handles super well. My weight is 360lbs and my ride here in and around NYC is unaffected.
hey thanks! glad you enjoy them! congrats on your new TW. nice I love that pipe, I have a couple different silencers I can swap out too. that would be cool. oh nice, hope you enjoy it, it should be great for around the city
Wicked awesome epic moment and music! I will have to take my TW200 up there when I get past my newbie stage. Thanks for sharing the cool rocks, new roads, and awesome moments I have to look forward too!
Good job with the video. Driven pass that turnoff you took many times from Guanella Pass and never occurred to me to take that trail. Well guess I know what im doing as soon as the snow melts some more.

oh yeah that's how I learned too 😂 no problem, thanks 😀👍
A dirt biker would squirt past that problem but you are a trail rider and you did the right thing for you.
haha yeah i'm sure speed would have been better, I was just trying to take it easy being by myself. and the bike is full of camping stuff
It is so inspiring to watch your adventure in such a special time. Thank you Tdub!
thanks! glad you enjoyed it. no problem
What a cool video ,like the eager narrative style as well.
Glad you enjoyed it!
new subscriber and can't wait to watch more... plan on lot's of dispersed moto camping this summer with my dual sport.
hey thanks for subscribing! many more videos to come. same here! it's lots of fun
You out did yourself on this one. Ive been watching you for a long time now. This was absolutely awesome. This was prob my favorite video of yours.
Wow, thank you! glad you enjoyed it 😃
Was there a month ago! Nice riding on those roads, they're steep!
nice! I love that area, still so much to explore there!
Great video quality and I am definitely buying a recovery kit!
yeah it just snowed here again haha. I can't wait till summer, hopefully this all gets better soon. thank you! it's well worth it in my experience
Man I miss the mountains of Colorado. Really want to get back there some day. Always enjoy watching your vids.
yeah I would miss them too. glad you enjoy them!
one of the best one's yet, brother.
thank you! :)
Great job keeping composure at the snow pass man. Didn’t let panic get the best of ya 👌🏼
Thanks 👍 yeah haha whatever you do, don't panic!
Killer vid. A challenge every now & then keeps it interesting!
thanks! indeed, keeps thinks from being same over and over. really shows you what your capable of too
I know it kills the look of the bike, but I think you'd like the Clark tank for extra range. You don't notice it's any bigger except you aren't running out of gas. You could put it on only when you need it
thanks! yeah it's cool but I havn't really found I'm riding somewhere where i'm unable to reach a gas station
Nice work on prepping that slope, looked park worthy afterwards. Loved the video as always.
thanks! ill have to bring one of those multi tool shovels next time I go there in case I have to clear a single track again. glad you enjoyed it :)
What a view !
For sure! I need to go back but bring a shovel
One of the most entertaining motorcycle videos I have ever seen. A cliffhanger too! Well done fella on using your initiative.
Glad you enjoyed it! thanks 😀
Great video as always. Ordered the Green Chile kit because of this.
Thank you! That kit really can come in handy
I am happy to have found your channel. Watching your old content and loving it. I recently moved to Colorado and am shopping for a used trail bike. Can't wait to get out there in the mountains! Thumb up, subbed and shared.
glad you found it and enjoying the vids! man you need a bike if you live in Colorado or else you would be missing out. have fun. much appreciated
It was a good adventure....one that most "adventure" bikes would be hard pressed at duplicating.👍🏻😃
thanks, I didn't want to just haul through it since I was by myself. might have worked but could have been worse though. thanks!
The drone work at 12:00 though! :) Thanks for the little break from the chaos!
Well done on the recovery!
thanks! it was the perfect lighting that time of day. no problem thanks for watching, ride safe :)
thanks!
Loved the video, thank gosh for the recovery strap huh?
Glad to hear! For sure, crazy how I was able to get out of that scenario. Any movement made the bike slip down further
Damn dude that's a hell of an adventure!!
hey thanks!
Great vid. Your moto camping videos are the best. Keep them coming. Thanks.
Thanks, will do!
great adventure. solid edit.
Thanks! 👍
Wicked awesome epic moment and music! I will have to take my TW200 up there when I get past my newbie stage. Thanks for sharing the cool rocks, new roads, and awesome moments I have to look forward too!
thanks! glad you enjoyed i. it's such a neat place, the rocky roads can get a bit brutal though. no problem! thanks for watching!
Took an interest in the tw 200 for getting to far out gold locations in AZ for our channel, cool content 😎👍
Glad to hear! Its a great bike for exploring, thanks 🍻😀
Great video & great setup on your bike, giving me lots of ideas about how to store gear!
thanks glad you enjoyed it! I gotta do a new video of my setup at some point
Lots of old mine dumps on that road. I’d love to research it and go prospecting up there.
for sure they're to many minds around here to count haha
Incredible video. Those views are breathtaking. Nice drone work. Good job rescuing your bike, very impressive!
thanks! for sure, makes me want to keep going back. much appreciated 😀
Good job with the video. Driven pass that turnoff you took many times from Guanella Pass and never occurred to me to take that trail. Well guess I know what im doing as soon as the snow melts some more.
thank you! yeah it's crazy how much is back there, I have probably only explored like half of it so far haha. nice!!
ANOTHER, GREAT ACTION video!!! I felt angst as if i was there with you!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! haha 😀
Another great video! Thank for being real!
thank you!
Look so easy when you're using apps lol... salute bro you are the problem solver... that obstacle was huge man... fuh great journey.
haha true that, thanks!
Awesome drone footage of you standing on that overview looking at the view. You never disappoint!
thanks! glad you enjoyed it 😀
Your videos are amazing, I just discovered your channel! I already wanted an TW200 but now I crave one!
Glad you like them! welcome to the channel 😀👋 they are super fun bikes to explore on
Thanks, nice adventure.
no problem! thanks for watching!
Amazing drone footage.
Thanks 👍
Man I bet you prayed so much that night! Glad you made it out alive!
I sure did! God is good. me too
