    Fabulous I always go back and watch your nail art over and over, any tips on how you work on your dominant hand with your non dominant side.

      I'm semi-ambidextrous so it's a little easier for me...I know it's cliche but practice is what makes me better, practice, practice, practice 😛.

    Beautiful as always, can we use any brand of gel paints,will they all give the 3d look,or is it just the EMI BRAND that. gives this effect? have you tried other brands?? ty

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  7 років тому

      Yes, you can use your preferred brand, I just like the EMI because they don't spread and they cure with no sticky layer. Some of the gel paints I use are Mosaic and First Gel but some of them can be a little thinner and will spread a little but flash curing can help with that.

    Brilliant video absolutely love your designs :) I'm thinking of buying some of these could I use gel polish to fill them or would I need gel paints? Thank you :)

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  7 років тому +1

      I would really recommend the thicker gel paints...most gel polishes are too thin and not not as highly pigmented to get the same 3D effect.

    I see you used the no wipe/cleanse top coat then painted the design. I always thought you needed a sticky layer to paint gel paints to stick. Is it just this particular brand of paint that allows you to paint on a shiny no tack surface?

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  3 роки тому +1

      Most gel paints that I have adhere just fine to no-wipe topcoats. I wore this for weeks with no issues.

      @tenlittlecanvases  7 років тому

      Thank you very much! I actually have a nail tech do my enhancements, I usually only do a bit of refining before I do my nails art. I will put this on my to do list :D.

      that is surprising, looking at your art, I'd assume you are a nail tech.

    Do you think you could use the Akzents gel play successfully on these decals?

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  7 років тому +1

      As long as Gel Play has a good sticky layer it should work. Some gels cure with a very slight tacky layer and those will make maneuvering the decal a little difficult.

    • @DixieGirlxox
      @DixieGirlxox 7 років тому

      Sorry, I meant for filling in the design rather than the EMI paint

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  7 років тому +2

      I have a few Gel Play paints and, personally, I think they are a little on the thin side (at least the ones I have are, not sure if the formula has changed since I bought them) You may just gave to flash cure more often to avoid any leveling.

      I've got a heap so I'll give it a go. Having terrible trouble trying to pay for the Nailin decals. Paypal doesn't want to transfer the money and it's frozen my transferring :-/

    hi. this may be a stupid question but... are these water decals ? i watched you lift it from the backing but am not sure how it was attached to the backing. thanks so much.

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  7 років тому +1

      No, these are not water decals...they are a 1 micron thin film. They have no adhesive. These were created specifically to use in a gel sticky layer...they are slightly porous so the sticky layer will impregnate the film, this aids in wearability. The seller say's these will not work over regular polish, only gel.

    I know this is a old video but what do you clean your brushes with when you use your paints

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  7 років тому

      I clean with 99% isopropyl alcohol and sometimes, especially with stubborn darker colors, I will use acetone.

    Hi :) I'm so in love with this design! I tried to find a place to buy this decals but I could only find them through Facebook and the purchase method is hard to comply with. Do you have any idea where else I can find them?
    I ordered everything else. All I need is the decals :'(

    • @tenlittlecanvases
      @tenlittlecanvases  5 років тому

      As far as I know you have to purchase directly from Viktoria from Nailin'. I've not come across any other decals exactly like these, the material is completely different from most decals that are essentially a thin plastic film. Nailin' decals are a made of a porous, stretchy material and are easier to get a smooth, wrinkle-free finish.

      @@tenlittlecanvases Thank you for the reply :) Yes, but also almost $5 for just a few decals... I found other decals that I managed to fill in with the Emi gel.
