We are sisters, Julia and Anastasia Vanderbyl. A few years ago, we began a journey to live a life in perfect harmony with nature. A life of caring for animals, growing fruit, planting trees, gardening, cooking, creating, building and learning to live with the land.
In this time, nature has taught us more than we could have ever imagined.
Our environmental films document the landscape, the lessons we’ve learnt and our work as regenerative farmers here on Bundjalung Country.
We live on the land of the Arakwal and Minjungbal People of the Bundjalung Nation. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country we live on and recognise their continuing connection to the land and waters. We thank them for protecting this rainforest and its ecosystems since time immemorial.

It must be so rewarding seeing your creativity brought to life in a book. Congratulations to all three of you. 😊
No one can imagine how long have I been waiting for something like this. To describe what I feel, it's like having the opportunity to step into another dimension. The very best exponent of all is simplicity, the perfect combination between humans, animals, fruits, vegetables, trees, flowers, birds and having the beautiful skies and the green grass as the background scenery. Completely enchanted to see your wonderful work watered by such a lightful idea showing us the paradise our life can be if You choose to live by the simple rules of Nature.
I love that this channel has no botox, no makeup, no designer clothes, no shaved women, no piercings or tattoos, just plain natural beauty. Long may it reign.
Like John Reid said, the lack of dumb, painful, useless, breasts damaging bras is more important than not ... [shaving.]

Just the natural beauty of these two also for some reason I a have a feeling of what great mothers they would make.
The powerful writing, beauty of the mountains and the obvious passion and connection that you all have to that land is admirable. Living in NYC we sometimes forget that places like this still even exist. Thank you for sharing this with the world.
If I were the 2 woman i'd be very cautious about putting out videos. It opens up opportunities for bad people. There has been more than one Beverly Hills...Bellaire....or Malibu resident who has shown his/her house off on shows like...The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous...only to have themselves get ripped off after giving the crooks tips. Beware Girls. my advice is to arm yourselves and get security guards.
I love starting my week with you girls! No talk of politics or who did what, just you living your lives trying to have a positive impact on your beautiful surroundings. You don't try to force your ideas or lifestyle on anyone, but you lead by example. Well done! And, congratulations on the book!

"Sensuous" is the perfect word, as everything in your videos is beautiful, and i mean absolutely everything. "Sensuous" also being translatable to "the beauty of Nature", as the Great Spirit has made all Creation beautiful. Hmnn, this is probably the best channel on UA-cam, as it actually has absolutely everything (i've repeated myself!) including cooking, groovy music by local musicians who can be supported, great photography from your mum, a perhaps little-noted element which is the absolutely fabulous sound, undoubtedly from a top of the range audio thingy, capturing the songs of Mother Gaia, and even the up close and personal kitchen sounds are to die for! The centrepiece being of course your own beauty, which i'm sure everyone appreciates, along with the beauty of the whole farm and the whole rainforest, with all the comments we read showing everyone loves the whole channel, with your underlying message which i shall spell out plainly: what we need is for the whole world to live this way, or at least the rich the whole post industrialised consumer society much closer to it, and then we wouldn't have our problems and the human race might continue to grow and thrive even right through the 22nd century!!! But wait there's more - being also a nice fashion blog too, and your outfit from round 11.30 is just to die for Anastasia (i've repeated myself!). Mainly the gorgeous skirt, but the top compliments it perfectly. Have i forgotten anything? Yes, i have. Your wisdom Anastasia, handed down through your parents and grandparents most certainly, but even this old chook who's been concerned about the environment for too many decades to mention has learnt things from you, like your meditations on the spiritual discipline of appreciating the simplicity of following the same path each day, literally - oh, so i must throw in geese whisperer, goat whisperer, etc. The grace comes in giving the glory up to the Universe, and seeing it as all having come to you through blessing and good fortune - no maya of ego. Anyway, here are all my thoughts and feelings together about all the many videos i've watched - next video i comment on, i may as well just copy and paste this, lol, as this comment sums everything up. PS, if some folks haven't picked it up, the best way to watch Mother the Mountain videos is with singular focus, no flitting elsewhere, as your videos can actually be a meditation. The beautiful paths reminded me of Hungry Mother State Park, Three Ridges wilderness area and The Priest. All beautiful places to hike and camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Nice places to visit.

As long as I've been watching I haven't seen a winter and I've been watching for 12 seasons. I believe some wood chip and one zone first would help to start with the weeds and help to regenerate the soil, especially with the animals around. Your show is very inspirational. Yes, you have seen a winter 😊. You just did not recognise it. It is when we wear a jumper with our shorts. And the ,eaves fall off the frangipani.
Hehe, yes our winters are very subtle, today it got to 27 celcius! Yes, we have a lot of wood chip that we plan to mulch the garden with as well as lots of cardboard :) We've also been making compost from the animals manure but its one of those jobs that isn't as pretty hahaha
Denver Colorado here, I wish I had a winter like that. And yes it's a never-ending job as well. More dirt more time and more money, well keep up the hard work. Very inspirational
