Never would have attempted replacing my headlights myself without this superb instruction. As it is, I just finished a flawless job and it took me less than an hour by myself. Thanks!
i just did this on my w205 and this vid was a huge help. the only thing i would recommend is definitely disconnecting your battery before working on any electronics. i know it's not an issue 99% of the time but it never hurts to be safe. also, it was way easier for me to just remove the bumper entirely. id highly recommend taking the extra 5 minutes and taking the whole thing off. it gives you a lot more space to work with. the last thing, don't forget to adjust them! my lights were all out of whack when i bought them but a quick adjustment before putting everything back together made it perfect.
Just had to take headlights out on my S213 as it had moisture in... These instructions are fully applicable. But the two nuts holding number on a star screws, and there is no flap to remove from wheel well protector, so just remove that headlight nut by pulling wheel well trim back... Other than that all good. Thanks for your help 🙂
Thank you. The glass bulb projector lens inside one of my W205 headlights bought from Unique Style Racing somehow got dislodged and was just loosely jostling around inside the assembly. The company ghosted me when I asked for help so I used this video to remove the headlights, and then other videos to open it up to fix it.
Thanks for this, just replaced my light cluster myself with a friends help on my E300e. Different E classes, but same series, have different mount arrangements so make sure the replacement is correct for your specific car.
Hi. Did you replace it with a brand new head light or did you purchase a second hand one? I need to replace my smashed headlight and I did not realise how much they cost lol. Its an E class. Thanks in advance.
Did you replace the module? and if so, were you able to program it yourself? I have a 2018 C 63 that needs a left side module and it's expensive. I'd like to do it myself. The part install is no problem thanks to this video, but I'm unsure of programming it. I don't want to make it worse than it already is. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for a very good video.
Thanks, if you worry about breaking something - just completely remove bumper, it's easy - same process other side and you have lots of room to work with
Can you help me set up dynamic turn signals on my DRL hood light? I tested all wires going into the harness and none seem to send signal to activate turn signal on or off. Is it deeper than that? I have a w213.
@@NewRoad I have a 2017 C300 and just the thin LED (the "brow" of the headlight "eye") piece that sits over the actual headlight bulb went out -not the headlight bulb itself. Its mostly aesthetic but it does trigger a constant "Check Front Left Parking Lamp" alert on my cluster display. So I took it into my local MB dealership and they told me they couldn't just replace the thin LED piece but that the whole headlight assembly would need to be replaced and wanted $4000 USD to do it! That is a $1000 OEM part and $3000 in labor. Ridiculous. This post is going to save me a fortune and I am grateful.
Hey I got a question i have a c300 with the yellow holgen lamps not the one in the video led lamps. Just wondering can i buy two from eBay or the web for left and right and just swap them out 🤔💭 because i want the led light my did not come with them. Thanks for the video straight to the point!! 👍
You should be able to as long as headlights are made for your year, etc. If you are going to replace both - I would suggest to remove bumper completely - there are just couple bolts underneath (you will need to remove cover). That will make job much easier and you will make sure you don't scratch/damage anything accidentally. Good luck with the project
Try to reconnect wires, and check fuses - I have video for fuses: ua-cam.com/video/O9Lzy6qokUY/v-deo.html Otherwise, the headlight might be faulty itself
2017. I already had a mechanic do it. But now they have a problem coding it. They can not code it for some reason, I dont know what software he is using but i read people use xentry. I bought a used headlight with modules on it and daylight running halo lights are working but they cant get the low beam to work. And also when the water got into the bad one after replacing it with this one the good one is not working properly as well. Are the connected somehow? If one doesnt work the other ones stops as well?
I'm not sure if they are connected down the line... not sure why it wouldn't work if it is exactly the same light. Hope you fix it and don't spend a lot
@@artexpol yes, 100% ! The two HL controller modules are connected to work together. The master HL is located on the driver side. Looking at the two HL connectors will make this obvious. Water enters through the soft connector seals... 👍
Hello there, I have a Mercedes W213 (E Class) 2017 and I've had my car washed and I've encountered like 30 minutes after the following errors: Left Cornering Light Front left parking lamp Front left indicator I have no idea what I should do, for example, do I have to change the bulb (if they have bulbs) or the headlight itself, what would you recommend?

@@Devalish555 did you figure if the water entered through the connector WIRE SEALS or one of the round COVERS?? Seems these headlights are known for water blowing their modules.

Hi , I’m getting a c300 coupe 2017 , and the lights are halogen. I really want the full led ones but people told me that they can’t be installed on it . Is that true ? Or can I install any light?
My LED strip in one side is weaker than the other and the high beam on the same side is not working , what do you think is the issue ? Do I need to reprogram?
@@NewRoad everything looks fine but mechanic is saying I need to make wire for the old socket because my previous lights were halogen and new LED headlights needs to be programmed.
Is there any type of computer update that needs to be done for these headlights? A mechanic told me I had to take it to Mercedes to re program the computer?? Thank you
If you take your time - it's not that hard. If you want to make sure you don't break for sure - just take the whole bumper out, it's not that hard either

Where did you get the headlights from
@@kevinlit9965 I got them from uniquestyleracing but I think Amazon has them too under the MicroPower name

Do you know how to change for Mercedes A Class 2017? And any idea how much the headlights cost LED ones
Should be very similar process. Check rockauto.com, they have reasonable prices
Original w213 t modell too?

I'm not sure to be honest about 2012
Can ypu replace just the low beam bulb on this if it were to go out?

how do u check if a mechanic has swapped your parts for resell without you noticing

Why replacing on such a new car, park/signal not working?
Just demonstrating how to replace it
frequently due to water intrusion burning the ballast
How about for the 2017 CLA 250?
To be honest not sure. Check at the back of headlight and see if you need to replace just bulb or the whole headlight
Good
How can one contact you?
What is this regarding?
Why u replace? What stopped working
light is bad
Why not just take the entire bumper off? It’ll be mush easier less struggling
Yes, that's an option too
the more parts you remove, the more adjustments and parts you'll have to deal with...
looks simple, bet it isn't, knowing me i'll break something!
If you take your time - it's not that hard. If you want to make sure you don't break for sure - just take the whole bumper out, it's not that hard either

because I am lazy 😂
