In this video we show how to replace headlights in Mercedes-Benz C-class C300 W205 and E-class E300 W213
Mercedes Benz Headlight replacement can be done at home.
Quick and Easy steps to change headlights in Mercedes Benz:
Remove retainer clips from bumper
Remove two bumper bolts using 10mm socket
Detach bumper from fender by pulling it down
Remove 5 bumper screws using T25
Unpin and loosen bumper
Remove rear headlight bolt using 8mm socket
Remove top two headlight bolts using 8mm socket
Unplug headlight electrical harness
Take your time and gently remove headlight
Before installing new Headlight plug electrical harness and test it
Take your time and gently install new headlight
Reinstall three headlight bolts
Reinstall bumper
Plug in headlight electrical harness

i just did this on my w205 and this vid was a huge help. the only thing i would recommend is definitely disconnecting your battery before working on any electronics. i know it's not an issue 99% of the time but it never hurts to be safe. also, it was way easier for me to just remove the bumper entirely. id highly recommend taking the extra 5 minutes and taking the whole thing off. it gives you a lot more space to work with. the last thing, don't forget to adjust them! my lights were all out of whack when i bought them but a quick adjustment before putting everything back together made it perfect.

Thanks for this, just replaced my light cluster myself with a friends help on my E300e. Different E classes, but same series, have different mount arrangements so make sure the replacement is correct for your specific car.

Thanks, if you worry about breaking something - just completely remove bumper, it's easy - same process other side and you have lots of room to work with

Did you replace the module? and if so, were you able to program it yourself? I have a 2018 C 63 that needs a left side module and it's expensive. I'd like to do it myself. The part install is no problem thanks to this video, but I'm unsure of programming it. I don't want to make it worse than it already is. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for a very good video.

Hey I got a question i have a c300 with the yellow holgen lamps not the one in the video led lamps. Just wondering can i buy two from eBay or the web for left and right and just swap them out 🤔💭 because i want the led light my did not come with them. Thanks for the video straight to the point!! 👍
You should be able to as long as headlights are made for your year, etc. If you are going to replace both - I would suggest to remove bumper completely - there are just couple bolts underneath (you will need to remove cover). That will make job much easier and you will make sure you don't scratch/damage anything accidentally. Good luck with the project

Hi , I’m getting a c300 coupe 2017 , and the lights are halogen. I really want the full led ones but people told me that they can’t be installed on it . Is that true ? Or can I install any light?
I'm not 100% sure tbh - but there should be way around with some adapter if any required. I would google around and see what people done
How long should it take in labor? And in your opinion a reasonable price to replace it if I already have the light myself?
It should not take more than an hour to replace it - very straight forward. I'm not sure how much it would cost at dealership to replace it though

My LED strip in one side is weaker than the other and the high beam on the same side is not working , what do you think is the issue ? Do I need to reprogram?
I would start from simple thing like disconnecting wires and reconnect it again - to make sure it is properly connected.

Hello there, I have a Mercedes W213 (E Class) 2017 and I've had my car washed and I've encountered like 30 minutes after the following errors:
Left Cornering Light
Front left parking lamp
Front left indicator
I have no idea what I should do, for example, do I have to change the bulb (if they have bulbs) or the headlight itself, what would you recommend?
Did you check lights if they actually stopped working? I would also scan with ODB 2 reader and see if you have any faults
Had the same issue as well on my (c class) 2015. After a few car washes it appears that some moisture got into my front head light. Not cracks or nothing on my headlight. Resorted to replacing the headlight fully and see what arises.

Seems these headlights are known for water blowing their modules.
I have this exact same problem ! I went over a deep puddle of water in the rain and now my whole left headlight doesn’t turn on at all and it gives me warnings for other light that actually do work

Is it possible that you got non-functional headlight? Check your connection to make sure it is proper.

2017. I already had a mechanic do it. But now they have a problem coding it. They can not code it for some reason, I dont know what software he is using but i read people use xentry. I bought a used headlight with modules on it and daylight running halo lights are working but they cant get the low beam to work. And also when the water got into the bad one after replacing it with this one the good one is not working properly as well. Are the connected somehow? If one doesnt work the other ones stops as well?
I'm not sure if they are connected down the line... not sure why it wouldn't work if it is exactly the same light. Hope you fix it and don't spend a lot
@@artexpol yes, 100% ! The two HL controller modules are connected to work together.
The master HL is located on the driver side. Looking at the two HL connectors will make this obvious.
Water enters through the soft connector seals...

If you didn't mark it or took picture - it would be hard to find out
it's best to find a new place you trust than being suspicious
How about for the 2017 CLA 250?
To be honest not sure. Check at the back of headlight and see if you need to replace just bulb or the whole headlight

If you take your time - it's not that hard. If you want to make sure you don't break for sure - just take the whole bumper out, it's not that hard either
