i dont know why i cried during this video... im ALWAYS at seminary and paying attention! i believe it had to do with the story of the dad... my dad isnt a member and takes me to early morning seminary everyday... i really want him to one day accept the gospel and become baptized
I love this message! I was in my teens just a few years ago I graduated high school and seminary in 2016. I served a church service mission at 19 and I am so grateful for the gospel. I literally would be lost without it.
Im a freshman. last year, during school I started struggling with severe anxiety. it got really bad. I would hide in the restrooms during mutual. now, attending seminary, has blessed me. I can comfortably talk in front of people again .
I just absolutley love seminary. It always makes my day no matter what my mood is . Love how I can get away from the stress and maddness from high school and learn about the gosple.
I’m 16. Close to 17. Throughout my life I have never been a religious person. My entire family has been LDS my entire life, so I was always part of Mormon culture. But I didn’t... like it. I didn’t feel as though it helped me at all. It felt like an annoying thing I just had to deal with. I began to get involved with the wrong crowd, and though I was never put into any positions in which I was pressured to do drugs or drink, I did start to develop bad habits. I sought joy in worldly things. I began to swear and make inappropriate jokes. I developed a pornography addiction. I ended up taking one seminary class in freshman year to appease my parents, then immediately dropped it to make room for other classes. When my parents decided this year to enroll me in afterschool seminary whether I liked it or not, I was angry. I was not looking forward to it. I had to spend an extra hour and a half at school every day. But I went. Every day I groaned when school ended and I realized I had to go to seminary. I didn’t pay attention in the class. I couldn’t stand just being in it. But I went. Here I am, only two months later. I study my scriptures every day. I pray every night, and often at other points in the day when I feel like I should. I no longer have a pornography addiction. I very rarely swear. I am happier than I was before. I’m still not quite where I want to be, but the transformation my life has had because of seminary in a short two months has been astounding. It’s an absolutely incredible experience that I think everybody, LDS or not, deserves to have.
I joined the church at 16 and therefore missed nearly 2 years of seminary. I felt impressed that I should make it up. I asked my seminary teacher if there was a way to make it up. He turned and said take these two seminary books dnc and new testament and read them through. Fill in every thing read every thing and return the books to him when finished. I graduated on time.
I really love this message, It remainds me to my seminary-student-days. Know as a Seminary teacher the perspective is different than a student, but I really have a strong testimony of what the prophet says. SEMINARY CAN CHANGE LIFES. It changed mine....
I just moved to a different state. Everyone had been really nice to me, but I never really felt completely welcome. Then seminary started. That is where I first started to really feel at home. I now have made some wonderful friendships. Seminary is my favorite :)
He gave this talk just when I started seminary! I absolutely loved seminary, it's so amazing how much it can strengthen your testimony! It was great to be with my friends and learn the gospel with them. I had the same teacher through most of my high school years and she was awesome! Her name was Sister Pond. Brother Burger was my Freshman year and Brother Parkinson was my Junior year. They were also amazing!
I just absolutley love seminary. It always makes my day no matter what my mood is . Love how I can get away from the stress and maddness from high school and learn about the gosple.
