- This classic of a song by "The Who" was released in 1965 and made it to number 2 in the UK charts, but only made it to number 74 over in the USA.. I sure do like this song, Play this one loud, "VERY LOUD" lol.. The mighty WHO. I have the Quadrophenia movie that I watch from time to time. I am 66 and still riding my motorcycle. I live in Australia and some of the British English language was a bit new to us but the rebellion of youth we understood very well. A wonderful time.

Hello Rich, yeah "The Who" were just awesome, but i always thought they were a bit underrated myself, but this song is such a classic for the youth of that time, and i would imagine this song brings back many memories for many people, and the footage, well it just sums up that era.. but you know I think still, one of my favorites is their "Who's Next"

Hello Elly, i have always said the 60's decade was the best decade ever for music and singers, and i can't see it ever being beaten, but i quite enjoyed the 80's myself, but since then music has mostly all been going downhill lol.. Yes this is the BBC version, many of the other versions are getting blocked worldwide and some even taken down.. The comments have always been allowed for this channel, it's "Carl's Old Record Club 2" where i stopped the comments, mainly because i don't have the time to reply, and that's only a little channel anyway.. This footage is a mixture of real news events at Brighton and possibly Margate in 1964, and, I think, from the film Quadrophenia made in 1979. I was a mod and at Brighton. We didn't wear crash helmets on our scooters in those days. Those in the film, did.
