You are a lifesaver. Found your easy to follow instructions. Totally forgot about developer mode. I only have 256 gb of internal memory and it fills up pretty quickly. I only move certain programs and I don't move system programs. But this is a great video. I subscribed. Keep up the great work.

Hi I moved my app to sd card but it is still occupying space in internal storage and the app I moved to sd card is still there in the internal storage apps list and there's so occupying of space in the external storage. Please help me my tab is a galaxy tab s8.

This sotorage option not show realme 6 pro
i have to do this developer option, force app to external thing after it kept saying "not enough storage" when i tried to move app. an extra step was that after it was formatted as internal storage, i reformatted the sd card to portable and then, formatting again internal storage. then, app started to get moved....although i ended up losing all my files that were stored in the sd card before reformatting...such a mess. but at least, the apps can now be in the sd card.

I have an older SD card that I moved from a Samsung, to a moto pure. I did all these steps, but it's still not giving the option to move apps that I've moved in the past, on my Samsung. Is it because the SD card is formatted to the Samsung?

Bro i transport Amazon video, but the download videos are on the internal storage not sd cart. And sd cart shows almost no file.
The "change" option is already available on my smartphone, and I can place apps on the SD card and vice versa.
The problem is that there is zero change on the space availability on the internal storage. For example, I moved a 17gb Diablo Immortal to external storage, and yet there's no change in the amount of space left.
I moved over 40gb worth of apps to external storage, and the internal capacity didn't change much. The only change noticeable were some 90-100mb that increased or decreased as I swap and reverse swap.
Samsung made this so frustratingly difficult! 256gb SD card is showing stuff as present on it when the internal space is almost damn full...
Try moving media files also, this could also help in freeing up space

Which App are you trying to move to SD card bro, note its not all Apps you can move to SD card
I only have android huawei tablet 2gb ram and 32 gb rom. I was intent to move app to sd card which is 256gb
My device is on dangerous because it only have 5gb and the device is lagging. My default location is on still internal. Shall I change it to external and what's the bad consequences will occur?
It's absolutely okay to move your Apps to sd card bro that will free up space from your internal Memory on your phone
