Forgot to mention, I love the thumbnail! Even though I only started watching your channel recently (since you play PlateUp) I instantly recognized the green alien guy! It's way more recognizable than the mass of ingame screenshots that are commonly used as thumbnails for this game. Also, it's cute!
Its 20% faster for carrot soup (10s to 8s) but it takes 1.3s to chop + added time for grabbing/placing/movement means you can actually spend longer chopping the carrot than you save always worth adding a mixer to an automated setup though and always worth chopping meat
@@daniwalmsley611 Yes, but while broth is cooking you're not doing much anyway Imo it doesn't worth it for carrots(10->8) But it's worth for meat(12->6)
one thing to try if you find you get screwed on blueprints early on is altering whether blueprints spawn inside vs outside. there's at least one seed that offers a blueprint cabinet first round but only if you have them spawn outside. not sure how that works out, but it might help with desks too Pulled pork idea: you are given spices, meat, buns, a hob, and a smoker. The smoker acts like a frozen prep station, you put uncooked meat inside, it is kept for the next round, but the meat is then cooked (if possible, give bonus money when serving this one). You start by applying spices to the meat, then you can either cook it on the hob (super slow, but just enough to make it past day one) or put it in the smoker. you take the meat, debone it, shred it by hand or mixer, portion off a quarter, then bun it, and serve. This makes most of the handling after cooking, you don't immediately plate it once its cooked. the smoker provides 16 portions (4 meats with 4 portions) but needs to be emptied and filled with fresh meat each night (already cooked meat gets turned to burnt meat). Along with all the prep needed, this makes it a challenge to automate. Beans, fries, and onion rings as sides, cole slaw, bbq sauce, pickles, tomatoes as potential toppings. all that together and you have an interesting and challenging menu
I’m imagining that maybe it only shows you the whole food court if you exit your restaurant (similar to in normal how it zooms out if you exit) and maybe during the “start day” portion? So you can get ideas from other ppl’s layouts? And then during the actual day you only see your little shop and there’s a thing on the side showing how ur numbers are compared to everyone else, around where the “expected groups” is before the day starts. Keeping it to ur own shop limits the chaos when you’re serving customers, and also keeps it zoomed in enough that u can see what ur doing
dude, i had a super soup seed the other day where i kept getting soups... WITH BREAKFAST. so, i had to spend like the first 2 minutes every day just making bread, beans, soup, and broccoli ready for the incoming horde of 3 customers. literally had to get a second pot stack to deal with it all, and several extra hobs. decided not to go into overtime when i got the choice between slow eating or the card for mashed potatoes...
I'm pretty sure rerolling for your first research desk is a waste of money. Until you buy your first one it is in the staples pool which is not rolled from on rerolls.
just made it to OT day 15 for the first time with a microwave pie run where i went for as many alternate foods as possible-- including 3 soups (tomato, carrot, broccoli-cheese) was a lot of fun but DAMN those levels get intense
Since you mention it, I'd like to see you revisit the golden corral but invite a bunch of (random) people (from chat?) to increase player count and thus visitors/money/etc.
Would be an amazing seed, but unfortunately as of 5/12/22 it's now an Autumn map (so has the thanksgiving group size increases), and no longer gives all soups. That was from a fresh load up, and having seeds affect everything on PC.
Freezer is probably lowkey great here because it also saves the pot, gets you to 4+ without buying a new stack.
"GO INTO THE NEXT RESTAURANT"
"THERE'S STILL SOUP"

If you chop the meat - the meat soup will cook twice as faster
If you chop carrot - the carrot soup will cook 33% faster

I didnt know this about the soups. I'll have to try as I have both carrot and meat on a teir 6 run I have with fish/streak
@@daniwalmsley611 is chopping meat still worth with danger hob? Also important to consider that you can do other things while soup cooks
Literally covered in this video.

get on the plateup discord and psot this there
The food court idea is pretty cool and fun but i think itl be too chaotic with just 4p multiplayer allready being very chaotic to look at

Man they should hire you for creative direction! Those ideas are awesome
Anyone else think they'd somehow already watched this episode because of the red border at the bottom?
oooooo I will keep that in mind the next thumbnail
thanks!
Another great soup seed I found was "ria". It even gives you portioners and really nice blueprints

They should add sushi if it’s not already in the game
Also great video
Right after I posted this someone in chat said “they should add sushi”
@@blacksaturn1569 u know what they say ab great minds!
what if someone showed up at your soup store looking for clothes
You can’t get a research desk by rolling before your first one because it technically still a staple right?
Beautiful thumbnail
sick thumbnail
When those people ate there, they're eating at soup
You know you can upgrade safety hob to danger hob right? They rotate same way the research desk does
I love that thumbnail lol

Soup... Nom.
I find salad to be the easiest. I had like five salad franchises before I managed to win with anything else.
I'd rather do soup all day than potato salad 💀
