In the rear you will need wheel spacers if you plan on using stock rims with anything wider than 10's. I've heard some people try bending the stabilizer bar a little to make it fit. For the fronts you should be okay without wheel spacers. I also wanted to use my stock rims. But I figured by the time I buy spacers and pay tire guy to remove and reinstall tires. I was at half the price of getting new rims with offset. Most places sell tire and rim combo package with tires mounted already.
Your machine was a 2010 and Polaris shortened the rear stabilizer bar. So only on the 2009 with stock rims you would need the spacer. 2010 and newer don't need spacers. Thanks for watching.
@toomey200 Just saw your picks and tires look really good on the xp. I also liked the way you did your snorkels. Post some videos when you get a chance, would love to see them. Once my Zillas wear out I'll be looking at the radial outlaws or silverbacks. Just don't know if I want to give up ground clearance for better ride.
@toomey200 Thanks for the heads up, just checked online and your right. 30x10x14 will fit perfect on my machine. Look forward to see your videos, I'll be waiting.
@rodstowing Love the clutch kit, but I wish I went with better tires. Zilla's are ok, but at times I wish I had just a little more traction. On the bright side, they are easier on the axles. Never broke one yet!
@affatatoandson1 thats not true because i had a '10 550 with 27" swamplites 9" wide in front and 11" in back and i had no rubbing at all with no spacers or bending anything and now i have a '13 stealth limited edition with my 27" swamplites and theres still no problems. i had stock rims on my old one and have stock rims on this new one also.
I always stayed in low for all mud and most of the trails too. Only time I would use high was on rail trails and roads. The 850xp low gear felt more like a medium gear than a low gear. Could easily hit 50 km/h in low.
lauderdalechad I was happy with the Polaris but I happen to come across a good deal on the outlander. Can't beat a Polaris for it's comfort and you can't beat the Can Am for the fun factor. Throttle response of the Can Am is addicting and now it's hard to back to anything else.
Trust me I've owned them all and why spend good money on a polairs when all you get is JUNK. Test drive them all and see for yourself.. polaris is not a healthy machine when it comes to being tough.
I have an 09 xp myself. Just ordered a set of 28" radial outlaws if you click this link to the forum thats my thread with pics of the tires. There simply amazing. Ive had a few different sets of radial tires and mud tires but these take the cake no questions asked. remove the spaces (only way i could post it... forum. highlifter. com / tm. aspx ? m = 4643791
I can tell that 850 has a lot more power than my Polaris 500 just by watching the vid. Nice machine.
Nice machine. I can't wait to mod mine.
Great man i love it. wish i can have an 850 xp i want one .... Good luck with it!

Where is this? Its really beautiful! Looks like ATV heaven!
No all stock, but did have to change one axle due to ripped boot and rusted out.

I no longer have the machine, but until last year I only broke 1 rear axle due to ripped boot and rusted out the joint.

How come you ditched the sportsman for an outlander, and do you like the outlander better now that you have had it a while?

low gear always for mudding or climbing hills to save your belt
3.26 the kid said ohh fuck but cool atv and trails
How are your axles holding up?
How are you liking the QSC clutch? I just ordered one for mine and just got the 30in Zillas

Why did you get rid of the 850? What do you ride now?
