« Why are you travelling on a trike instead of a bicycle ? »
This is the question we get asked the most and we find it difficult to answer at times…as you don’t all have access to a trike here is our attempt at one, in video of course.
Being so close to the ground, the adrenalin rush from the speed is incredible. Go-karting aficionados, this one’s for you! The stability that comes with being on three wheels is synonymous with the total control you have even at the highest speeds (80km/h so far!) The only real danger at the end of the day is the mosquitoes stuck on your teeth ‘cos you’ve spent the entire ride with a huge grin on your face.

Une fois que t'as roulé couché dans ta vie tu n'as plus qu'une seule envie c'est de recommencer. Trop bien !

- Arlen

I'm in the process of getting a scorpion Fs26, really tempted to go with Pinion.

Question..? are the Piinion drives all front end shifting with only 1 cog in the rear..?

Yes. this pinion is the C1.12 (12 speeds). The range is enough for most of ascents/descents

Suddenly I want to give a trike try out. However I'm concerned about cornering and tipping over

You can tip over, but to me in 8 years time it only occured only when I did something stupid...

in my Ice Trice manual, they say that you should take your trike to an empty car park, and try corning at different speeds, so you get to know the characteristics of your trike's cornering and handling, so you get to "know" what kind of speed and corner you can handle before it starts to go.
And definitely lean into the corners, like you see the guys do in the video.
If you are really that concerned, you just knock some of the speed off, until you get more confident too.
I do have to say - I've owned my trike for 2 months now, and never come close to tipping over - it is just so stable.

I totally agree with you Ravy. We have the full suspended version so it gives even more stability in the curves. But of course with all the luggage, like in the video, the characteristics are really different and we have to be "careful" ;)

@wheels turn Fantastic - you will really enjoy your trikes I'm sure! As for 2-wheel cycling - I have about 30 out of my 40 years, and nowadays aim for 100 miles per week on the bike.
The thing you do have to be aware of on a trike, is the turning circle is massive - Its not like a 2-wheel where you can turn really sharp depending on your balance skills. As for speed that I would do a circle - I'm not sure I could put a speed on it - its more of a "feel" - does it feel like a wheel is about to lift? You'll get used to it in no time!
