I dont think john did it. They all passed the polygraphs and his story hasn’t changed even while intoxicated. That’s unusual for someone especially a young person to keep their story consistent if they’ve actually done something wrong. Most of the time details will change overtime and you can pick out lies the more you question them and they break. Especially if they arent previous known to be violent which it sounds like he wasnt. My best guess is if john had anything to do with it they probably got into a verbal argument because they didnt like eachother, john went to bed and byron went to walk home upset and was attacked out of sheer coincidence. I think the writer is looking for answers obsessively to try and gain some sort of inner peace and has become ultra paranoid due to the ptsd he probably suffered from the incident. I don’t believe for a second john was guilty of anything more than simply not liking byron.
Good point about him starting to walk home and being attacked. But just where was he found? In front of their home? If so, maybe someone was watching the home and wanted to attack anyone who came out.
Well the story says nothing about Byron and John arguing before John going to sleep. I think a killer just lured Byron out or something.
Could be a random event.... Byron was at the wrong place at the wrong time...

Christine Hildenbrand I didn’t know it was going to be a super moon until I woke up at midnight with a bright light coming through the windows (the curtains were in the wash) it was very hard to sleep with my room lit up like that but the moon was beautiful!

lol yea me too but for some reeason after the first few stories it starts to get less scary and if u put in headphone and close ur eyes (as long as you not alone;) ) its werirdly soothing and helps me fall asleep, focus on his voice.... just dont listen to them if yiur alone in your house!! lol
