The violin story has to be one of the scariest stories I've heard in a while. Usually, scary story narrations are therapeutic and calming to me, but that story had my heart beating so fast it could pop out of my chest. I liked it except for the part about how she mistook some dude's eyes for candles... Human eyes don't reflect light in the same way nocturnal animals do. Humans lack a tapetum lucidum, which is reflective membrane located behind the retina of most nocturnal animals eyes. (The color of the eyeshine varies by species, depending on the mineral content & structure of the tapetum lucidum, as well as the pigments in the retina. A bobcat's eyeshine is amber, deer have a white eye shine, black bears are red, opossums are orange, the eyeshine of domestic cats vary, etc).

@Dark Empress me too, it makes me sleepy too. I fell asleep yesterday evening soon as I got home from work at 6, didn’t wake up til 1am. Got myself ready for sleep and put it on again to where I originally fell asleep and fell asleep again after 10-15 minutes. Now it’s the next day and I’m trying to finish the vid again lol. I may have a nap to it today, after this comment. Haha

Absolutely!! That's my problem when I lay down to go too sleep, I think too much, all my problems go thru my head then it gives me anxiety then, of course, I can't sleep. These get me so involved and keeps my mind occupied and relaxed too where I drift off to sweet sleep. I would never sleep without these videos.

I don't think that's a good idea. I interpreted the story as, she was trying to be cute and was coming on to the guy. Some guys might flirt back. The best strategy is to just not say anything. And look gross.
I'd stare her right in the eyes and start pretending to insult her to an imaginary friend on the phone as well until she got off the bus. "She noticed I'm staring at her, I think she knows our plan"

Listen, the violin story is probably one of the scariest stories on this channel (or any other scary story channel, for that matter). While I listened, I started picturing the violin player as some tall, gangly Tim Burton drawing character and when I went downstairs to get a glass of water, I thought I saw him in the shadows of my kitchen. Lmao.
i listen to these to fall asleep. i woke up in the middle of the night last night, in the middle of this story - or almost near the beginning of it. i laid and listened to it to try and fall back asleep, and when it got to the part where he was starting to open the door for his dog, and i got too scared and had to turn it off to finally fall back asleep lol.

I actually felt sorry for that quiet driver. He was struggling with his demons and warned her about hitch hiking. He knew the dark thoughts he was having so he told her it's best to get out of the car. I hope he's gotten help and hasn't hurt anyone

The same thing that happened to the couple who went to visit OC, snd got roofied. The same thing happened to me in Texas many years ago, I blacked out after 2 drinks. Thank God my husband didn’t get dosed too. I was sick for 2 days, I know it was the bartender .
Telephones in classrooms? Students being able to receive & accept calls during class? I graduated in '1988,' what school is this?! Crazy! But great stories, that I truly enjoy listening too.

@@imakememes3885 - Even when I was in school, I graduated in 1988, we were NEVER allowed phone calls to a classroom. If we DID get a phone call @ school, the principal would answer the phone, take the message, write your name on a piece of paper, that piece of paper was taken to your class, given to your teacher, your teacher would call your name & send you to the principal's office. When you arrive @ the principals office, you had to use the principals phone to call back whomever called u.

jeez i listen to scary stories every night as i fall asleep and never have a problem falling asleep but i’m 3 or 4 stories in and i’m wide awake. scariest stories i’ve heard in a while. although whoever wrote that hitchhiker story and said people usually fear the crazy hitchhiker, not the person driving who picks up the hitchhiker, is a little naive. there are at least 5 serial killers throughout history (but probably a lot more) who made victims out of the hitchhikers they picked up. that’s why people stopped hitchhiking. it got to be way too dangerous for girls and boys alike. i don’t think many people overlook that side. but i will say in the movie, the poughkeepsie tapes, that killer was definitely a hitchhiker to avoid.

I absolutely love when you upload, I don’t mean to be rude when saying this but I wish I could listen to one that only has you reading throughout. As I usually listen when I’m going to sleep & the voice changes can be slightly jarring when waking up to it. I would like to add though that I love each of the people who narrates along with you in this, uncle unit is my absolute favorite narrator. Sometimes though you just wanna hear being scared. Lol. I hope no one takes offense as that’s not my intentions at all, again I love all the narrators in this & am subscribed to all of them. & I usually avoid videos with guest narrators unless there your videos, or one of my other favorites such as unit 522 & southern cannibal.
I’m also wondering do you record the rain yourself? It’s excellent quality. Jeez you narrated the one about that person staring over the fence perfectly holy. I was walking through my dark hallway back to bed as that part started & it was heart racing.
