2. Give 3.3v from development board
3. Check with other android phone
Checking all above step, if it is not working, then u have to replace the module

Yess, only android phone can connect, if you want to connect to ios, there is separate Bluetooth module

In my case the HC-05 is is pairing on android but its not showing connected its only showing paired . when i use an application like Bluetooth manager it showes connected and hc-05 led will blink slowly . its not showing connected on the Bluetooth settings .
Just check with other android phone.

Bro the light is glowing in the module but not blinking and also it isn't showing in the phone
Click and hold the reset button,
Then restart the module
Check whether blinking
If it is not blinking or not showing in ua phone
Then you have to change the module
Use android phone and check in your phone bluetooth setting not in specified app

Then it is damaged
Check whether led is working, give separate 3v for led in circuit board
If it is working(led), then ua hc05 module damaged
If not working just replace with new
Yea most hc5 will not blink or turn on I just disconnect the cells and replace it again
If it wont work ill use 5v instead of 3v it might damage some hc5 but not mine it work perfectly
If it wont work ill use other cells or plug the arduino with adapter
If it is damaged dont buy a new one try to repair it by replacing the power supply decreaser
If it didn't work you should buy a hc5 that works in 5v and not to damage easily

1.Check with other android phone
2.try to reset your module with reset button
3. Check whether light is blinked
4. Just connect vcc and ground, then try to connect using android
5. Dont connect with any applications, connect using Bluetooth settings
If this step wont work, then you have to replace the module

Before uploading a Bluetooth code to development board you should not connect you Bluetooth module to development kit, bcz their is a chances of getting crash(Bluetooth module)
There is no connection between uploading code to development kit and Bluetooth
You can upload your Bluetooth code without connection Bluetooth module
Check your errors properly
my hc-05 is not getting paired by my S8 the option is showing in my phone but when i paired it said unable to pair can you please tell me the problem
There is button in HC-05 module called reset button, press and hold and reset it
Then remove the whole connection and just give power supply and test it
1:04 Ahh fuck, I uploaded the code after plugging everything in... So did I damaged the board already? Is that why I could not find the Bluetooth connection? I'm using Android btw.
Edit: Ok this is dumb... I actually ordered 3 modules. the first one I couldn't find the connection port for my phone, same with the second one. Then the 3rd one finally found a connection. But it doesn't work... the LED is still not working, I tested separately and the LED actually worked, somehow the Bluetooth module won't turn it ON and OFF. This is so dumb, I ordered 3 of them and non of them worked, I feel scammed.

My hc 05 is not discoveravle
1.Check whether your hc-05 blinking red light or not
2. Press and hold reset button, on and off your hc-05 module
3. Use android phone
4. Check whether module is discoverable in android Bluetooth settings, not in dedicated private application
Yes the light is blinking.... I have purchased new hc05 after powering it on light blinks but when i scan hc05 module does not appears.....?? Im. Trying to make bluetooth car from. This any idea??

1.Hc05 module need 3-6v power supply
2.Just check only your hc05 module by giving power separately
3. If your giving less than 3v, then module wont work, only led will blink
3. I prefer give 5v power separately to hc05 module, then wait for 10min
Then scan whether it is discoverable or not
4. Dont attach to arduino board, before attaching check the module is discoverable or not by giving power separately
And most importantly thing
When coding to arduino board dont attach Bluetooth module RX and TX wire to arduino board
The board will crash (either arudino board or Bluetooth module)
