Hey thank you so much. Since this is such a common problem on the newer Cascadia's. Mines's a 2019. I've been experiencing this problem intermittently. I was researching UA-cam University on how pressure switches are made up. From what I understand there's three types that the air pressure pushes on. A diaphragm, a piston or an electronic membrane type. From your dissection it looks to be a diaphragm to press a manual switch. I figured since my Air dryer canister had not been changed in some time. Just got in the truck about 4 months ago. There was a lot of moisture under the dryer. I have since changed it. What I've been wanting to do is remove this pressure sensor and insert some quality lubrication and pressure it up several times with a airgun. Need to get a brass npt plug with the right threads at the hardware so I can pressure up the airgun. Hoping it'll loosen things up where needed. At first I was thinking I'm using never seize but since that has aluminum and copper I wouldn't want it conducting and bridging the switch so I'm going to have to go with something else. Perhaps Marine synthetic lube but nothing too thick. I'm hoping some proper lubrication will be all that's needed to get the switch working fine again. These switches can be hard to come by going from $50 to $300 online. Would be nice to be able to lube them somehow and make em last longer. We'll see. Thanks again brother.
Check your brake spring ... Actually it's easier.... While driving try to set your cruise control also pull your brake pedal towards you see if that works ...
@jasthepilotfk8538 it was that brake switch. I bough one from the frieghliner dealer and replaced it myself. Unscrew the plastic from around the pedals and you'll see it. Make sure you have a deep socket to unscrew the one that's on there and screw the new one back in. But the guy in the video was right. It's that brake switch that's the problem.
Keep in mind that switch is easy to replace but the metal threads that it screws onto is surrounded by a plastic housing the brakes extremely easy then you will have an air leak that you have to go to the dealership to replace that whole entire manifold that's on your driver side firewall trust me it happened to me
Man, thank you so much that’s very helpful. Appreciate it and professional.
I really appreciate the in-depth look

Great technical skill dude
Do you have a part number
Do more part dissections….I really enjoy them.
Nice job GDG
is there any way to bypass that annoying warning sound temporarily until you can get the part??
I think you can just unplug it….
Would that work the same way? Has heartbreak engaged? Annoying sound Don't go off and it says my parking break. He's engaged which is not
Says 24mm deep socket......then proceeds to use 27mm deep socket😂
I wondered why I was struggling with the 24MM😢
I caught that. Hey nobody's perfect. 😎
Im getting 12 volts on my power wire at the connector, is it supposed to be a 5 volt circuit?
Good job
useful, subscribed 👍
Would this part being defective cause the cruise control to not engage?

Dope video my boy!
Great information
Good stuff 😮
i replaced the switch but the brake light is still on. Do i have a wrong switch? TIa.

I'm currently having this problem on my cascadia 2019 with a code 520581 2.i will be looking into replacing this brake switch. Thank you.
Make sure you get same part number because new sensor(with new number) recurring jump wire which is extra $70
Was that your issue ? I am showing the same code on mine and I think this might be my issue

Disconnect and short that connector 😅
