The difference between 3 versions T7 / TC1: Color screen, its functions are the same! T7 is a little faster! The tc screen is a little bigger as they are powered by elem1 batteries. I just ordered the new LCR-TC2. I'll try to give an update when I check it out. And later when I actually use it on a mobo.
Hello what about your TC2 ? It seems to be the same as TC1 with a different color. It is a copy of FNIRSI original TC1 and I think that some stores try to let us know TC is an upgraded version while it is exactly the same inside.

I just received the TC-T7-H and the calibration procedure you show causes it to measure the jumper as a resistor. It will not go into calibration mode. Maybe the H model doesn't require calibration? There were no instructions in the box.
Wish you had hooked up the scope when it was measuring a capacitor - I would like to know the frequency used for the capacitor measurement and cannot find that info anywhere. Also does it use a pure sine wave for capacitance measurement?
It sends the same signal to all parts in order to identify them.

Hello! I'm not sure I got it right as for inductance ... you checked a 22mH inductor and the meter showed 0.03mH? If so that's an absurdely high meter error ...

How do we know which test port to use for different component? Small cap different than 1000uf cap, Which poet for inductors?
Hello, you should use any of 1, 2 and 3 for any component; the device defines everything itself. A small capacitor will be defined the same way as a big one. For inductance we have the same story - any of 1, 2 and 3 sockets; for example, the first pin into the socket 1, and the second - into the socket 3.
Just got mine. When testing, pressed yellow button and after "testing" goes away it shows a Capacitor 4.91uf on pins 2 & 3. with no capacitor present....Something wrong here. Also, no instructions whatsoever......
Just try to calibrate it.
One of such devices had such a problem. Calibration has solved it.
7:39 datasheet says (Rds): 0.008 Ohm or 8mOhm in this tester you get 100-400mOhm. My question is what tester out there can give a better indication of these values. Thank you i primarily want to check MOSFETS with something more accurate. Will probably still get this one for capacitors though it seems like a nifty checker. Thanks for the video.

Frankly speaking, this is a device for amateurs, not for industrial use, so, its accuracy is not decent for exact measurement. However, you can check approximate values with its help.

How about capacitor polarity - does it matter how you connect + and - to this device? Cause it obviously matter in circuit but I'm not sure about this device, and the markings do not suggest any way it is just 123...
It doesn't matter, the device detects everything automatically.

How frequently should it be calibrated?
It should be calibrated as soon as you get it. Then, if you suspect inaccuracy after some time, you should re-calibrate the device.

I have a t7h and can’t get it to go into calibration mode, even got a replacement and same problem

Can this lCR metert test components on PCB like capacitors without removing them.
It should, but it depends on the scheme.
I just got the same device. Calibrated and started to test components. Whenever I measure inductor it shows resistor and some unrelated value. Would you please help me how can I fix it?
Sometimes it recognizes it as resistor, it's normal. Try several times.

My T7 stumps the CPU freezes on some semiconductors requiring disassembly to reset by disconnecting the battery. Wonder of the unmarked CPU is a fake.

Why do you choose those 2 mosfet?
Because they have almost the same parameters, which are much closer than the parameters of another MOSFETs.

I cant get mine to self test. It just wont begin the test. Instead gives me resistive values between the sockets. Anyone else have this problem?
Edit: it is the T7-H.
The reason id like to self test is because it keeps giving me differing results on the same inductors, caps, reaistors.
does it keep giving different results for every try. i thought to buy it but it is a problem as i see
@serdar-ors to be more specific, it is accurate test to test for any given value. Sometimes it will give you an inductance reading instead of Farads etc. But if you know what type of component your looking at, it won't ever be a problem. It's definitely accurate.
