Good example...elbow position is correct...proceed with lateral side momevent to hit the ball for better power pivot..and on reversing stance to catch kick away incoming balls..this videoclip i like...
I am really consistent at these in a practice environment, but doing it in a match is a whole different story. I tend to go for safe backhands until I can get a strong forehand topspin in.
Try to attack AFTER a second chop if possible to grow your confidence and consistency. After the second chop from your opponent then the ball shouldn’t be AS spinny. So easier to loop :)
Thank you for your comment :) I am doing a LIVE Q&A tomorrow (Thursday) from 4:20pm Irish / UK time. Let me know if you have any questions / suggestions for me!! I’ll have a table set up so I can even demonstrate / answer TT questions :)
great video coach, BUT, there is another option aka the YOUNG MA LONG option, where you position yourself so far to the backside, that you attack EVERY serve with your Forehand and FORCE your opponent to play a different serve, hahaha. It looks hilarious, but can be VERY effective bc the opponent is often not ready to counter that with different serves, hahaha.
Exactly what I was waiting for. To me this and the backhand flick are what differentiates an intermediate player from an advanced player.
FACTS!! Create better chances to attack and be assertive on the table :)

Mate you know your table tennis and are quite good at analyzing it! Do you coach / train?
thank you coach!
I was practicing this today in VR. Will try again with the elbow push.
Yeah, make that elbow as an anchor and whip out a follow through :)
Thank you coach. i have been waiting for this video since you said you made it.

Good luck in your training sessions!! Be patient and watch the ball carefully when you're making contact :)

Great video. Thanks for posting. I'll work on this using my robot in the morning.
Your backhand strength has really come a long way now David! Easier to counter spin serves with your wrist too :)
Very nicely explained. Thanks bro.
Thank you :) You have no idea how many re-takes I had for the explanation part alone haha

Yeah great idea :) I think I will do Rev-Pendulum serve spin. It's affect and counter measures!!
