this is very old world Soviet style as I always used to wonder myself what that habit was especially of the ballerina to look down all the tyme on the floor before looking up? that's more a bolshoi habit then the kirov I've observed even with the classroom and Barre work, they're always looking down on the floor first before they raise their chin up. what's that all about?

stop looking down on the floor with the turns and the jumps! it explains the difficulty of having to stop in the middle of the dance for instruction!
