At least here in Europe, we never, ever, Ever touch the neck of an EDS patient, I'm in shock. Personally, I would never go through with this.

If you find a professional willing to do it they would. From personal experience in Europe.

My first thought is EDS which is already hypermobility and it seems like adjusting would be contraindicated

Agree. I've learned to snap back my shoulders when they pop out. Life has become quite tough and painful

As someone with EDS I have been to numerous chiropractors and various times in my life. It gives some pain relief for a short period of time but with two days I have always been in much worse pain than before.

Did you do anything differently with your movement and posture afterwards obviously if you don’t change your body will revert

I have Ehlers danlos syndrome as well. chronic pain is one of the reasons I left my husband. After 30+ years and being diagnosed with EDS he doesn’t believe I have this pain. I think sometimes that’s partly due to our determination to not look sick and the fact that we can fake it for a day a couple hours even a couple of minutes but that will just lead to rebound pain like an exacerbation. When that happens I may need three days to a week to feel my normal chronic pain. I feel for this girl.

I have hEDS. I had a great chiropractor long before I got my diagnosis at 46 years of age. When he told me there was nothing else he could do for me because I needed surgical intervention, I stopped chiropractic care. Having dr's gaslight you your entire life, tell you that you just need to exercise, lose weight, or that is all in your head. THAT'S what it's like for people with EDS when dealing with the medical field.

Sounds like women in general dealing with the medical field

I understand living with severe chronic pain, it is absolutely frustrating & mentally draining!! I don’t have EDS but I have fibromyalgia, neuropathy, spinal disease with fluid on my spine & two herniated disks. I see a spinal specialist for epidural injections but I also see my MD & a chiropractor! I do get temporary relief from getting adjusted but it sucks it doesn’t last but a few days!! They said surgery would be the next step with my spinal issues which scares the hell out of me!!! I’m searching for a holistic MD so I can try something else before going through surgery!!

    It’s what A.T. Still wanted
Healing with hands and care for emotions
Medicine cannot cure it all! Pain is so hard to live with everyday!

I want to know how she is feeling the next day, and then a week after. Remember she said she wanted for the adjustment to last!? Also I have EDS and sure it feels great in the moment but then there are diminishing returns, and worse off than that all the constant pulling and tugging to get that release willl eventually wear down the joints all the same. There is no magic here.

You have to keep going. My chiropractor said it months of going multiple times a week. Most people stop before he fully gets them to where they need to be. Depending on how long things have been out of place it’ll take longer to get back into place and stay in place.

If she wants the adjustment to last she needs to do PT and change her postural/movement habits to support it

Lol. Chiropractory is not generally recommended for EDS.
"I'm kinda freaking out." Because you're not an effing physician.

I used to love watching your show on TLC but I don't see you on there anymore so I'm wondering what happened also I don't really do social media UA-cam is about the only thing that I like to watch and I was surprised you had a channel on here 👍😇🥰🫂💖 So I just wanted to say I am so happy that you do what you do for those who really need you I wish you lived out here in Palmdale California because when I went to see a local chiropractor he refused to touch me said I had too many issues going on😢 So keep blessing those who truly need your help. 👍❤
