    Good work, but it would be easier to make a sketch of the whole part and then cut the hexagon.

    You literally do the weirdest stuff ever. There is no need to make a revolved cut. Draw a straight line 1.5 from the top and use flip side to cut. There is absolutely no need. There is also no need to establish tangency with the small line you made. Just make the centre of the arc coincident to the line which is the revolution of axis.
