@@JOE_JET_DIY I’m 175 pounds and I get by on 3 per side I know it’s never been tested but the weight rating on the good screws is a lot I think even 1-2 per side should hold a grown man but the safer the better since they can’t all be in a stud
At the very top yes, you screw them into the ridge board. Below that it's a little more difficult. In fact, 2 screws are able to hold you steady. However, the manufacturer in the manual recommends doing it as in the video.

If you screw those screws straight in, is the rafter or truss wide enough so they all go in to the truss completely?
