Thanks Ajith. You are perfect example that anything can be achieved with hardwork in right direction ofcourse. He has shown us that we don’t have to wait for opportunities that one day will come that changes everything, instead he has taken quick actions at the right time to reach his aspirations(monetary/new technology & tools). Thanks GK for bringing live experiences to the channel. Much appreciated. And all the best to the viewers for your career aspirations.

Thanks for sharing experiences like this. I was also in a Networking field almost 5.5 years & in same company with having only a 3.6 LPA salary which offcourse very less. Then I started learning more on AWS cloud, DevOps technology ,daily 2 hours study for almost 6 months continuesly. After that i never looked back then switches two companies. Now my salary hike got 200% in 2 years. Focus , dedication and hard work is the only thing you need to be successful. Also no matter in which cloud you start with, as I started working on AWS and now working on GCP projects.

The only change in my approach is going for Azure but as a DevOps, I'm sure I'll be going for AWS services as it's in high demand at this stage. However they want me to clear a DevOps Assessment Online test again only after which they will send a offer letter. They are saying this is just a formality although they want me to do well. Does this usually happen in companies or is it another screening test? Because online technical test post HR round and salary agreeing looks a bit wierd.

Planning to shift to devops, so I started learning devops through an online course .But I am struggling with a single question that how come we get aware of real-time work and terms & How come we gain knowledge on real-time. In order to perform in interview.(please elaborate)

      Hi,
Don't worry it happens to everyone. Start practising in ur own environment and then take some realtime course.
Start going through interview questions online and make questions out of ur resume..moreover keep attending interviews

Thank you so much GK and Ajith for this informative video.
I have one question, I have joined Capgemini as a fresher. And last month I got a project in the Automation Development domain.
The team is using Python and Powershell for coding. Currently, I'm attending training for the ansible and Jenkins tools. So, is it a good start for a DevOps career? I want to switch this company after the completion of a 2 yrs bond. So can you guide me on how I make my skillset stronger, so that I will get better opportunities?

    • @reddyajith9508
      @reddyajith9508 2 роки тому +1

Good that you started to plan in very beginning of your career.
At this moment you focus much on python and powershell . Try to understand your project end to end instead of understanding only ur part .Also focus on improving soft skills and management skills.
in your free time you can learn AWS , linux adminstration and Jenkins CICD.

I did understand that he faked his QA experience as Devops/cloud experience. it wont show much impact during interviews if we have some good knowledge on Devops tools. but what about the relieving letter/experience letter? the new organization would definitely ask to submit the relieving letter of the previous org. the letter will mention his position as QA engineer/Automation QA, then it might be a problem right?

Wonderful discussion guys!! kudos to Ajith for his career and GK keep coming with such honest videos. Did he say 30 LPA some where like its kind of dream come true like me stuck at 4 LPA in a support job since past 8 years recently moved to Linux admin where other teams do Devops work but seniors are so arrogant that they are not even ready to share what exactly do they do. Learning Devops through youtube itself , just curious to know if 30 LPA is really possible even 20 LPA I would say in 1 year or so?? with extreme hardwork. Cheers!! and thanks in advance for answering my question.

Don't worry..you ctc will not be same forever..
spend some time on aws , cicd you can switch it and earn it..
One good thing is..you already have idea on linux administration so you are one step ahead than others 😀..
Regarding your ctc..it may take some time to reach 20 lpa..bcz you may need atleast 2 switches or more ..
I would suggest u to focus now only on devops stack and ctc will follow you🤣..
And your guess is correct on my ctc

You should work harder to get technical knowledge as same as real DevOps engineer. You could mention that you started working on devops from past 1 0r 2 years. If interviewer finds you worthy , why would he worry about how much experience you have ?
I have seen so many friends of mine switched to devops from QA , Support roles. If it is possible for them , it is possible for you too. All the best.
