Prince William is a lot more down to earth and easy going than people would generally think.
He does seem shy and awkward but he’s a nice fellow. Taylor brought a little fun and light heartedness to the awkwardness.

@@irenemarano8241 whereas I'm kinda opposite...I haven't made my mind up abt TS; and while I used to be a huge fan of Bon Jovi (the band), but after all the hullabaloo re Richie leaving (for whatever reason(s) - fine that he did, if he felt it was needed, but wasn't keen on way he did it (and, apparently, he regrets it, too)), and like Jon for some reasons, other things abt him kinda bother me.
Hwr, def "Team William" (and Catherine); very sad what his brother and his wife have been up to over the past yrs :-( (And, yes, I'm aware JBJ and Harry later did some stuff together re Invictus.) IMHO, Prince William will make a fine king one day; for now, he's being phenomenal support to his father, and his wife, who are both suffering from cancer (and, don't get me started on the ridic trolls on that!!!).

I think this was a wonderful natural moment with two major stars and Prince William. He seemed a little shy at first but I think he had fun, and he knew the words. Unfortunatelly, I don't think he gets very many moments like this one because of who he is. And that's a shame. He will make a great King some day.
I suppose Charles has earned his moment in the sun, but for whatever it's worth, I think William is fully ready to ascend the throne. Ditto with his beautiful bride.

Gotta give it to the Prince for sticking with it, in an interview with Graham Norton, Taylor says that the prince forgot all the lines right before going on stage, and was in a bit of a panic, asking Taylor if she'd go on stage with him to help take a bit of spotlight off of him so he could get through it. He managed to keep it cool and do the whole song, like a boss.
There's another version of that story today on CNN.
And Prince William said Taylor touched his arm and told him let's go and sing and he couldn't say no!

stop judging Taylor saying she was not having class and stuff. she was just having fun and being happy.
She was also trying to help Prince William relax and have fun too because he told her he couldn't remember the words before the performance. You can see, before they start singing along, she tells him what the phrase is "We've got to hold on" - she's even gesturing to help him remember this phrase.

I can't believe people are criticizing these three. It's a very remarkable trio, and how many people can get up and say that they sang with a future king? I know some can say they sang with Taylor Swift and some with Jon Bon Jovi, but just a handful. This is fantastic.

I cannot believe all the hate Taylor Swift is getting! In the Graham Norton interview, she mentioned that Prince William, a man she had just met and was a bit intimidated by because he is a future king, asked her to do this with him, and it seems as if she did it to support him. It did take him a long time to get up there for which Jon keeps on razzing him about. You can tell that Prince William is (understandably) nervous, especially juxtaposed next to natural entertainers like Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi. Taylor Swift is just that classy and nice.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!! Taylor was all kindsa ready to pick up the tempo. Jon has a lot of respect for her. He says she is the real deal. Song writer beautiful player producer manages herself promotes herself. She is the total package. Plus she is truly legit sweet and fan friendly. She is respected by so many artists from all genres. She is amazing. I love her as much as I love Black Sabbath and Ozzy.

WOW. I am from Australia, therefore I am part of the "Commonwealth" by default... seeing MY FUTURE KING being so "normal" as in no different to any one of 'us' singing to one of our fave songs, is so encouraging. It makes me realise that the Monarchy will remain strong and my future grandchildren, will have a wonderful King in their lifetime.

William is a class act. He sings followed by Bon Jovi holding out his hand where he gets a quick but warm embrace along with his handshake with a prince. He knows its his responsibility to put people at ease in his presence where some may become flustered or overwhelmed, I've seen William use a simple touch along with eye contact to let a person know it's okay, they are in a safe place. He gets that natural put people at ease skill from his mother I suspect. He is a true gentleman and will make the greatest of kings in all history. At least I think so.

(a)She knows the tune and lyrics better than he does; at 1:33 she's giving William a visible cue about the upcoming chorus
(b)A male-female duet looks much less awkward on camera
(c)He counting on Ms. Swift being an accomplished stage musician, having been awarded multiple Grammys (and she was conveniently seated right next to him)
(d)Maybe he was counting on Ms. Swift playing the excitable/extrovert to contrast his own shy/reserved introvert

So he sorta made her go up with him. Did you see how she was coaching him with Hold. Which is about all you need then it comes back to you. I am a singer myself and I know how it feels to sing a song ALL your life and then when on stage not remember a single word. I do it in practice too. It's just nerves.
