Welcome to this new episode of Kaeve Highlight. In this series we will walk you through some of the design highlights of new cars available in the Kaeve. Let us know what you think of this very special British icon, the XJS by Jaguar!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for tuning in to our channel. Glad you enjoyed the walk around! Such a lovely car isn’t it? Many more car design videos here on the channel.
Thank you Niels for providing imaginitive, constructive and knowlegeable commentary on the gorgeous Xj-S. A car, as you say, mis-understood by so many. My preference is for the pre face lift design and I am fortunate to own a pair of these lovely cars. The smoothness the V12 is just sublime! Thank you again for your video. Kind regards. Thank you for tuning in! Glad you like the video and the XJS - so do we! More similar videos on other Jags you will find the channel. Please enjoy yours!
Thank you for another phantastic demonstration, Sir Niels! Gorgeous 2 XJSes V12! (Would have been nice, if you opened the bonnet for a look how the engine is placed... especially in the older one. And a view into the interior, too.)
Thanks for tuning in and for the feedback - a great car indeed this XJS V12 - we will try next time to get more in, interior, engine, but also try to keep the video relatively short to not make it boring... choices, choices...
Just a couple of things to note. The XJS does not have flying buttresses, just buttresses. The Maserati Merak has flying buttresses as an example ie a space between buttress and body. Also the power bulge in the bonnet did not arrive until 1983 and was for practical reasons rather than aesthetics, to accommodate the taller engine six cylinder engine. Personally I prefer the cleaner lines of the early Pre HE cars .
Due to the BABVVO and TEBBVO laws, all petrol cars will unfortunately soon be banned from public streets in the EU, CH USA and Scandinavia :-( In Germany, the Green People's Party has given the order to shorten the fuel supply from 2025 by reducing all conventional gas stations to just one state-run central gas station per city or county Now they even want to slow down all gas pumps by 20 liters per minute to 2 liters per minute... From 2027, some car spare parts will also be banned in the EU... such as exhaust systems, turbochargers and even some engine and gearbox oils. .. California and New York will do the same from 2027... So no more investing in petrol cars... They even created a new type of crime here called emissions and smoke crime . "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbotsverordnung" BABVVO in Germany and HESCHLAVVO in Switzerland!!!!!

Thank you for tuning in! You are correct indeed. these are normal butresses, slip of the tongue during the making of the video.
I think the XJS is a far better looking car than the Series III E-type.
The series III E-type indeed was a bit of a heavy boat, visually. Thanks for tuning in to our channel - hope you will enjoy the videos.

Well. Let’s enjoy them whilst we can!
Music……why?? And you think you qualify to lecture us on taste. seriously?
We lecture on design, not on taste. To very different things. Have a great day!
Master piece
