I think the Satin Black is just an overall nicer and vibrant colour while still maintaining that "mean and rugged" feel - good for lips, sideskirts and diffusers!

In the States we call that "flat black" instead of matte. At least those of us who paint houses for a living call it that. You've got flat, then eggshell, then semi-gloss, then gloss. I think I'm going to paint the hood on my 2009 Mustang flat black, sorry matte black, instead of the satin. Thanks for educating me....
Wroetoshaw was having his Range Rover Evoque wrapped in Chrome gold and when he took it to Yianni to get the quote, he did a video of the Rose Gold 458 as a joke. Itdoesnt belong to W2S however they just haven't done a video yet confirming it yet. They might not ever clean it up, you just need to stay in the know. Sources: My friend knows W2S and i know Yianni is still diving the 458 so hopefully that cleans up that!
Have to ask.......and thanks for posting......Keeping it clean/washing.......Do these finishes hold the dirt more. Are they more difficult to get clean than gloss paint jobs. Also scratches and marks......Are thy more noticeable in these finishes.
Need to do some denim black on my Harley. I hate how manufacturers always need to rebrand their paint.. just use colors everyone else uses, why make it difficult?! Lol

Question, please: I'm doing a '46 Chevy truck retro-rod and am considering the Matte paint in charcoal or black. All my research says this finish is a HUGE pain to maintain because you can't buff scratches and it's uber-high maintenance....this seems to be an absolutely truth, not questioning that. Here's the question: if Satin also the same or is this finish more user-friendly, maintainable and practical??
Matte black is very dark dull blackish grey, but satin black is deeper richer black, satin black looks so much more sinister. I'm painting my k5 blazer satin black with gloss black accents and blood/maroon interior.

Thanks for the info my Kawasaki 2008 ZX14 special edition is called flat black still unsure what's best to clean it,at almost 10 yrs spit and shine is getting a old now. Any info for a good quick detailer would be at your best interests.
Matte is so much better if you can find one that doesn't degrade the color. Satin is nice for wheels but for a vehicle it just looks like you're trying to stand out. Which just seems counterproductive to me, idk. It's nice for faster cars with curves but a satin black Jeep or truck tells me it's 2wd and they only use it for Starbucks and the grocery store.
Is satin got different gloss level also? Because in this video the satin gloss level is not that obvious compare to veloster turbo young gun color, please advise...
Satin has more presence and matte is more of a loner shade that kid who sits alone in the back and the satin is quite comfortable in his skin. There’s different types of people just gotta embrace them all. Sometimes the lone wolf looks cooler because everyone else is the same.

Love me some satin. Matte looks a little too much like primer, and the contrast seems to make satin appear darker than matte.
