When I was at Tech, we had to read Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Instead of purchasing the book, I checked it out at the Lubbock public library. However, the version the prof was using was abridged and I read the unabridged. So, in my paper, I added details that were not in the version she used. She gave a zero and accused me of using Cliff Notes and I could not convince her otherwise.
