I noticed audio files indicating plans to put them in the game. But CA has had a lot to fix.

I'll be honest, the game is better than launch, thats for sure, and for the best, but honestly I recently reinstalled after a good long while (mainly because SFO is about to drop the nice update), and I've been playing a little to get back into it, and I've been finding so many fkin annoying things that bug me like crap, and it honestly feels worde than It should.
The latest annoying thing I've noticed (probably was there since the start?) is Aranessa's absurd turn 10ish auto expand into all of Tilea when I was playing as Belegar, eradicating just like that an Ally I had close by and getting me back into caveman diplomacy times. I get that it is to make her a greater challenge, but she already gets a top tier starting settlement and a 20 stack. Mind you this is just the one thing I've seen in my current chill "Befriend the ordertide" Belegar campaign. And I know its small and insignificant, thats why I say the game is better than it was, and honestly its still a great game, very much worth playing for a LONG time. Just keep in mind there are plenty of small things here snd there.

I think the roadmap coming in a month or two is going to be a strong sign for the state of the game going forward. If we're seeing three or four DLCs coming this year that will hopefully mean the end of the content drought and a return to the sort of release schedule the game needs to have any legs, but if it's just Chaos Dwarfs then I think there's a fairly good chance the game doesn't survive into 2024
4 DLCs? absolutely not, even 3 i'd be surprised considering how late Chorfs are planned for.

Total-Warhammer 2 took a loooooooong time before becoming amazing as it was by the time it got it's last DLC.
peoples tends to forget that, and i believe Total-Warhammer 3 could also be that great as well, but it entirely depend on how much CA is willing to let the guys at the DLC-team produce content for the game.
if we get some content for the next few years, we might end-up with a game even better than TWW2.
If they only support the game for a single-year... well TWW3 will always feel like a wet-fart despite actually being a pretty cool game.
What content drought though you have 86 factions to play . Besides this game as far as I have played and seen is pick a faction do a playthorugh drop it for some time and pick it up again . There really isn't enough content in a faction or mechanics in the game to reach the short goal of campaign and then hop in another faction considering you might just be doing the same thing again and if it's fun for you good but for me i drops off really rapidly

I played 6000 hours of 2, mostly L/VH campaigns. Can't get into 3. Don't know if it's burnout but I definitely don't like some of the changes. Plus it's much easier now.

@@willfeen the most obvious changes I’ve noticed is they significantly lowered supply lines, and diplomacy is more reliable
@@willfeen lower melee cheats, lower AI cheats in general, reduced supply lines, AI in general is pretty brain dead right now and has no self preservation

It's launch was better than Rome 2 and was less of a crap show than Empire. And Immortal Empires can be a little rough at times. But it's still a blast.

Cyberpunk 2077 had floating palmtrees. Warhammer 3 inflicted the Realm of Tzeentch and all its bullshit upon my wretched soul. I can say with complete confidence that I preferred the floating palmtrees.

The big difference is Cyberpunk was strictly bugged as hell. WH3 not only had bugs (though not as bad as CP2077) it suffered from massively bad design issues. The devs made some really bad choices in their planning, like they didn't understand their own game.
Took too long to get immortal empires out. Taking to long to get new races out. Warriors of chaos doesn't seem that interesting. I'm bored with it until they release more dlc

The Steam reviews are still mixed and many people report constat crashes during battles. I think I'll stick with II for now
Warhammer 3 one year later is still a dumpster fire of GW's red tape and CA's downward spiral. Spewing out the width of the ocean, depth of puddle content at obscene prices that a multitude of sources told outright would not be worth a single penny for AT LEAST another two years, if at all.
The game was trimmed to scraps all so they could focus on a mode that didn't release on launch and is STILL in 'beta' like some sort of indie dev on steam keeping a game in 'development' for five years... All the while they're asking you to pay full price for a gutted campaign and five copy-pasted chaos factions?
But don't worry, sometimes they bring the price down to 30 instead of 49, how generous. But buy it and the DLC that they'll churn out till you've spent hundreds. And wonder why they cancel entire games in 3K and refuse to address their complete lack of quality content over years... And HYENAS.

Immortal Empires has been a great investment though. It's a bit of a shame I have no interest in playing the base game campaigns but I think IE has a bright future. I've been playing almost exclusively just demons and warriors for nearly 300 hours. Once I get the itch to try something else, there's so much for me to still experience. I also really like how detailed the graphics are in this game. There have been many occasions when I just wanna look at my territories and I notice some new ambient creature roaming around for example. Overall I've probably spent around 100 bucks into CA's Warhammer games and I think it's worth it. At least an 8/10 experience.

Tf is with this community and Chaos Dwarves? If the devs haven’t announced it in a year than it prob isn’t gonna happen despite the hype.. And it’s honestly a waste of resources.. People should set realistic expectations for this game..

Been wanting to co-op with buddy for 3 months now, but the game just disconnects us or desyncs on AI's taking turns with or without mods.

Damn the quality on this video is stellar. I also love that you did the "nope" sound bit. The game has its bugs here and there but it's crazy how good it's gotten. Can't wait to see it come to fruition as this year gets going.
I have the strong feeling that this game will not get the same support that TWW2 received. Just 2 years of DLC and updates and that's it. Game has not been received very well, though that's the fault of CA themselves.

Immortal Empires is good as long as you have the other Warhammer games. I dislike the RoC campaign, it's just a nuisance. So many turns to have to deal with certain rifts. Takes a whole turn to pass through a slaneesh portal and there's like 8 layers? bleh...
Yeah, I haven't looked at the RoC since I came back. I heard they improved it a little, but I don't see a huge reason to try it out again when I could just play IE instead

Man it's bullshit how the previous two games are still 60 euro base game. In order to play immortal empires you have to pay up soo much money. Great game mode, if you can afford it.
1 and 2 are pretty much obsolete unless you want to play the mediocre campaigns. It's such a slimey yet genius business decision to make you buy the older games for immortal empire.

Yeah, but steam sales. And despite those games being half a decade old at this point, they add numerous content that is still being updated in the newest game giving you four unique factions, with 8 legendary lords and a massive host of new mechanics for each. they are at least worth 50% off if not the full price since most people forked that up originally too.
People should be able to play the Warhammer 3 factions on Immortal Empires, otherwise the cost of entry is too high. I bought Warhammer 1 and 2 at release, put thousands of hours into both. I've had my money's worth from them even before Warhammer 3. For a new player having to buy 3 expensive games just to play on a bigger map is a bit overkill.
I was actually able to buy all 3 games and got tombs kings and fury and the silence for 100$ this Christmas. It’s all about waiting for that sweet moment and saving up your cash. Probably the most I ever waited and spent on games in one sitting. Best decision ever.

As someone who has never played total war finding out I have to buy the previous two just games just to run the 3rd really puts me off even trying

I have like ryzen 9 3950x ddr 4 16 gb ram and rtx 3070 eagle and this shit i must play on lowest 150-250 fps and still crashes lol i can play 1 hour and restart game 20 times or play 2 hour and then 1 time crash 💆🏼♂️ this game needs fix asap aloot of ppl in comunity in steam have same problems and no fix

It's crazy how bad the game is really. Just doesn't feel good playing. Plus they took an interesting route graphics wise. The game became more childish instead of realistic. Oh well. Back to medieval 2 and shogun 2.

Something was severely f*ed with unit control on release. They were SIGNIFICANTLY less responsive than in wh2. It's fixed now, so yeah, it is a lot better.
Vanilla still needs a lot of work and devs are currently hibernating. But SFO is releasing today, thats gonna make a lot of people happy.
SFO is honestly a godsend for TW. Not that I don’t like Vanilla, but SFO really targets a lot of my frustrations with vanilla.
I'll think about getting the game in a year or two, if it hasn't been abandoned by CA.

I read somewhere that there was supposed to be multiple teams working on TW:W III. However since HYENAS is coming up - guess how many works now? ONE. ONE TEAM TO FIX EVERYTHING AND PRODUCE ALL DLC. That aside. Game without legendary crisis is too easy even on Legendary. Since game was backed up quite a bit, the AI has gotten little unstable. They build bad buildings, they keep their anti-player bias - make them die a stupid deaths. Sending everything at you while they are being eaten alive by other factions. Sieges need a proper fix. It's time to fix placement of defensive structures during minor city battles(feels like people making map were not the same people that made those) and..maybe implement everything that is in Community Patch Fixes?! Yeah. I do enjoy this game. But previously in TW W II - I would sink in 150-200 turns into campaign. Now I am struggling to reach 100. Not cheesing too much, legendary/very hard. I guess I will have to mod it up somehow..
I agree with most of this. I want to check out Hyenas and see if it’s worth placing WH3 on the back burner (I highly doubt it is)
CA needs to allow everyone to play immortal empires, the easiest solution is to just lock the races you haven't purchased 🙄 and let people PLAY THE GAME FFS, my friends want to play but not buy the older two games just to play the new game mode

WH1 is like 15 bucks and WH2 is like 20 bucks when on sale, cost me less then 80 bucks for all 3 games, and have gotten 500+ hours out of the immortal empires.

I played Warhammer 3 main campaign but was not a fan of the rift system; in fact I ignored them to my detriment since my armies were away busy raiding and exploring and enemies poured in through them wrecking my base. Also didn't like that the endgame comes too soon, I conqueres a vast majority of the map and even still I lost to the main campaign. However IE is excellent, no bloody rifts, huge map, epic battles and plenty of territory for my Korne warriors. Quite brutally challenging though as I got the dwarf endgame crisis quite early on with about 30 stacks of dwarf armies pouring into my empire and wiping out my allies and many territories. Still, slowly but surely taking it all back and paying them back with interest. Skarbrand is soo much fun to play. With Vanguard deployment I charge him into any army line a bulldozer and use my rampage abilities, within minutes I decimate the army as the archers and artillery focus on him and let the rest of my army catch up and finish the job (if there's anything left for then to hunt!👿😈
Yeah, I don’t have too much time to play games now a days, so I didn’t even try the realms of chaos. It was so bad, even if they’ve improved it a little, I don’t see any reason to play it over the IE campaigns
I had all the dlc with 5.6k hrs clocked on WH2 which I played religiously and I bought WH3 once IE was released. I played it a fair bit but it's clearly not a finished game and I'm waiting for a bit more polish before I play again. Until then, it's Football Manager and Civilization 6 for me. I like a lot of the new features but I need to see some more patching which they have said won't come until after Q1 2023. I'm not too fussed about new DLC or races. I just want a WH3 that doesn't have traits and followers that do nothing and that can be assigned to characters that cannot use them, which admittedly is something that was true throughout WH2.

imho WH3 is still trash for a new player without dlc's or the other games.... it's demons vs demons vs demons vs demons vs human and human...... WH2 is a way better platform to start the TW Warhammer collection if you got any interest in the game. And 75 times cheaper if you find a sale.
Lets face it, WH3 is only good when you played the WH2 campaigns to death, as it mix things up a tiny bit.
I just don't get what is the target audience here?
I got both my kids (19) (23) to try TW warhammer, non of them where interested in buying any DLC before they was shure it was a game they liked. They would not eaven accept a DLC as a gift from me as they was unshure it was a game for them or not.
Let me tell you both of them put WH3 in the trashbin, It wasen't before I played a bit of coop with them in WH2 their interest started to grow a bit.
Shure, we can recomend WH3 highly to anyone that already own the rest of the series, but is that nessesary? I got a feeling that sale is already done.

Warhammer 3 is much easier, doesnt matter if you have much more opponents surounding you. AI is not as agressive, intelligent and does not as mass produce units. If you do not use exploits, Wh3 is just a walk in the park. And this is not just my opinion. People who played ten of thousands of hours say the same.

Yeah the game is imo in a great state and the diversity in gameplay overwhelming. I can speculate why they still haven’t pushed any dlc. For someone that has been playing the games since warhammer 1 it’s logical that he wants more dlc because most probably he has played with all races already. But for newer players there is still so much content to go through. Anyway I’m enjoying the game as the fist day I played it in 2016.
My guess is the patches are taking a ton of time, and the second team CA might have used to work on DLC are focused on Hyenas
Immortal empires still turns my computer off. I have no idea what the issue is and I was working with someone at CA about 9 months ago until I was just left on read.
I’m back to playing med 2 these days, I just love the physical non floaty nature of the gameplay.
I do love the warhammer total wars for their own reasons.

yes, you would need the DLCs for that respective lord or race, which can only be bought for the game it released with

After playing Civilization 5 and 6 for many years I branched out this year and bought TW: Warhammer and I must say it's pretty awesome. There's a sale for the TW:W2 right now on steam with all DLC for 70 dollars and I think that may be worth it although i'm about 2.5 weeks out from the Steam Summer sale.

Yes, the base game is still frustrating and annoying. But now you can play Immortal Empires with just WH3!

Could actually be rather easy to balance the game if they incorporated the recruitment mechanics from Total War medieval 2. Add in dynamic map mechanics like from Empire and Shogun. Population and culture/ religion growth like from Rome and medieval 2.
No more doom stacks, No more spam for no reason, no more throwing an army away or suffering horrific casualties just because it's easier (because replenishment is different), actual use for a map that's loaded with graphics but doesn't really mean much.
only 86 playable factions ha get the legendary lords mod ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
