Thanks, this method is usually used to make fuel look more attractive, fo actual engine it is not critical, while in some countries the colored diesel means duty-free fuel that not allowed on the public road, here in New Zealand we pay for mileage of the diesel car separately, so they don't care what sort of diesel is in one's tank.

Hi, yes you can use it for the light diesel oil, heat it up a bit tough first - up to 60c use 1 to 2% out of volume concentrated sulfuric acid, mix well, leave for a while - a couple of hours, then remove the oil into a separate container leaving the deposits behind. From this point there could be a number of further treatment methods. Like this one where I used triethanolamine, 0.02% - add while mixing and continue until oil becomes clear with flakes of the dirt floating around - from this point - settle, filer. Another method - is to add 10% water solution of either baking soda or sodium hydroxide - add about 4% out of volume, mix well - settle filter. Do not forget to run a copper strip test before use.

Без обид дружище в википедии указано что триэтаноламин прозрачный у тебя желты но и так же я сам видел и желты это какая-то подкатегория , какая цена банки такой примерно , спасибо за ранее
никаких обид, всё правильно, денатурат он тоже должен быть прозрачный но его подкрашивают, эту бурду в чистом виде в стране моего проживания не найти, поэтому я использую то что на 90%+ состоит из триэтаноламина, в постсовете он должен стоить около $3 за литр.

Александр, а можешь создать дистиллятор с большей производительностью, но чтобы он был не на электричестве, а работал с помощью горелки на отработанном масле?
По горелке - у пламени одна проблема - можно изменить интенсивность горения, но нельзя изменить температуру горения, короче горячие точки вам гарантированы и закоксовывание тоже - горелки это пройденный вариант, более того - горелка нагревает снаружи - раскаляя оболочку аппарата, ну и пришкваривает масло, напротив - електроэлементы стоят непосредственно в толще масла - их много, площадь контакта большая, и плюс ко всему посредством регулятора вольтажа, можно отрегулитовать температуру элемента от нуля до максимума. В случае дистилляции масла, либо пиролиза элементы будут разогреты не до красного каления а до температуры кипения продукта.

Doesn't work at all. It will only filter the black carbon back out of the fuel which so then remain red

سلام عليكم اخي هو يقول استخدم اسد بطاريات مركز h2so4 وبعدها استخدم 0,2 من ماده التراي اثلين امين ولكن يجب ان تعلم هو لم يستخدم زيت السيارات الاسود مباشره بل قام اولا بتقطيره القصد انه لا ينجح مع الزيت الاسود والله أعلم لا تنسونا من صالح دعائكم

during WWII they put red dye in gasoline used by the military so civilians could not use it. people found that you couuld remove the dye by filtering it through bread.
During WWII in Soviet Leningrad, which was blocked by the nazi army people were getting about 150 grams of low-quality bread a day, they were eating dirt at the place where food warehouses were bombed by Luftwaffe - the dirt was soaked with fats and melted sugar. so the bread was scarce the cars were run on wood chops with gas generators where possible. All civilian machinery was mobilized for warfare.
Thus if one can use some bread to filter some petrol during wartime, then what sort of war is it and what sort of people are they?

I believe a few other alkaline products work but sulfuric is the most efficient

I tried today, doesn't work, first sulphuric acid, next thretonolamine.
Was the acid concentrated 98%? So, you adding 2% out of volume of the fuel of acid and mixing for at least 15 min, then settle for at least one hour, then you should transfer the resulting fuel into a separate container, it should be almost black after acid reaction, then add 0.2% of triethanolamine and mix for as long to make sure that the fuel changes its color to yellow, settle and filter. Triethanolamin should be added slowly into stirred fuel so it is not stick to the bottom of the container.

I am in NZ. The road charges are separate from the color or nature of the diesel fuel here, so one can literally piss into a fuel tank. As long as road charges were paid - no one would care what was in the fuel tank.

Install another fuel tank to your car or truck so your original one is obsolete but keep a little normal diesel in it in case you get dipped and tested then put the red diesel into your new fuel tank...no need to mess on with dye removal haha Your welcome 👍
It is a piece of good advice for the free people of the UK where there is a democracy rampage. But I am in NZ, so there is no need to install any extra fuel tanks.
I found out how to remove dye naturally... Leave in clear container outside in the SUN. The UV rays dilute the colour and turn it yellow.. Free and easy... Takes about about a week for the process
And you are screwed when they decide to take the sample from the, fuel system 🙃
If you leave red diesel outside in the sun in a clear container in a few weeks the sun bleaches the red diesel and takes the red pigment out of the diesel. Mother nature... Who would of though it.
