Dude I was freaking there and missed most of this set letting my friends drag me away to support their friends bands set. It was all love, aint got time for worries there its a beautiful time wherever you are. Thank you guys for posting your entire set from that night. Even a few shakoris later when I stumble into campsites or familiar faces they talk about this set. Yall definitely melted faces and left your stamp on the brain underneath that melted face.
I was there too! I was pretty excited to see these guys but also a few other bands too who had the same timeslots. Sadly only caught probably about 20 minutes of this set live as my friends 'needed' me to come check another bands set with them. Wish they would've just chilled and waited for the magic but at least they did post it. How did you like shakori though? That's awesome you came all the way up from FL. I've met several people at the many shakori's I've been to here in NC but none who traveled states away to be there. It's a beautiful place and truly the best festival we have here. Always arrives at the most perfect times of year when we need to rewind and relax the most. Not sure if it's also called shakori down in Florida too but do plan on one day coming down there at some point to hang with you guys for at least one of the festivals the same organizers set up there twice a year too. Keep me in the know bout any cool festivals I need to attend down there. Fall shakori here starts Aug 7-10th. Mavis Staples of all pple is on the headline. Even if your more interested by the raw talent and beautiful melodies from bands like this she is a funk and R&B legend I am so stoked to see her.
