Nice to see the MTA still hasn't secured the lay-ups area n/o 96 Street...this shit's gonna get a train operator seriously injured or worse one of these days when they walk up on this in progress🤬🤬🤬
That is a big exception. I ride the subway almost every day. I don't see cars bombed that bad, not even a little. Those cars probably were sitting in an isolated area for weeks. In anycase, it will be clean very soon. It will not be allowed on the system in that condition.
@@ChristopherNYYes, Im 60 years old, retired and remember the foul, crime ridden, smut covered trains, along with budget cuts, (continuing) MTA ineptitude and Gerald Ford telling NY to drop dead in the 70s - 80s all part of a bad time in NYC in gerneral. This train shouldn’t have left the yard in this condition. One of the ways the graffiti scourge was defeated in the late ‘80s was that the MTA would not allow a subway car that had been tagged at all. Graffiti vandals paint the cars so that as the car travels around the city, people can see their work. But if that train stays in the yard until it’s cleaned, there’s no impetus to paint a train. I wonder if the MTA is no longer enforcing this rule.
@@NickyDCompanies that want to advertise on MTA trains should hire these graffiti artists because they make cooler designs than their own marketing team 😭

I have been riding the Q for years and the trees are always a problem. Maybe MTA should use eminent domain and forcefully remove trees, bushes and the like that overhang or interfere over train tracks.
I recall walking on the Bronx River Parkway bridge across the IRT tracks north of E 180 Street station back in the seventies and being stopped in my tracks, so to speak, by the sight of a gorgeous work of art. Someone had painted a married pair of cars. One car had a hellish cityscape in fiery reds and oranges with smoke-belching stacks and slinking black figures; the other car had a serene cityscape featuring a blue sky, a bright yellow sun, and a lush green park in the foreground. This was before cell phones, and I cursed myself for not bringing my camera. I sometimes wonder if anybody else got a picture; if so, I wish he'd share it. I would hate to have been on the crew that had to "clean" those cars.

Wonder how long it took the person to paint that, and how come no one ever catches them doing it?

If 50% of the fleet were to get bombed with graffiti tags will they put half the system out of service?

The graffiti on the car actually looks really good. The only problem is that it covers up the windows but otherwise it’s really good.
train was taken out of service due to this art work , for Transit perspective is a lost , plus removing this graffiti
