- I'm going to show you how I start and personalize a glue book junky collage journal that's made from a simple, ordinary composition book.
I started my Pink Pelican composition book glue book in 2016 before I started this channel, and this is how I learned it.
A lot of people used this method to make journals, smashbooks, gluebooks, etc using their creativity to make unique books full of their personal style.
I certainly did that! I have a style all my own and you will too. Our books may start out the same, but over time, they will evolve into a beauty that is all our own.
"Glue booking is whatever you want it be. You can finish a page today or next year. For me, it is a relaxing way to be creative without stressing over an outcome or finished project.
As I mentioned in my other glue booking sessions, there is no rhyme or reason to how I glue book.
It's just a relaxing exercise in cutting up and gluing down random scraps.
Sometimes something wonderful emerges, but most of the times it is a hodge podge of disconnected scraps. One day they may form into something wonderful, but today, I'm just enjoying the process. Give gluebooking a try!"

Wow I love this! I sprayed a comp book with water to make it all big and crinkly, after I saw that in another video, and I left some random color paper scraps in it while it was wet, to color-stain the pages. But I wasn't sure what else to do besides writing in it. You've inspired me to add lot more fun things!

This is so fun! While you were marking and taping I marked and taped a page in my journal and then flipped through a magazine to find something that the colors matched up with and added it. Now I just need a quote and it will be done! Fun!!! Simple! Yet creative. Thank you!

I like to washi tape two pages together. In case I decide to get crazy with paint or ink, I can put a piece of cardboard between the tape pages and...no bleed through! Love your ink pad idea-I need to do that. Thanks so much!

I have mini ink pads I hardly use, so I need to do this☺️💕 I love the feel of washi tapes being stuck on paper too
How fun. I found the perfect notebook to do this to. It has ties built into the covers to keep it closed. I found it at a thrift store for a dollar. I love this idea

I would love to see a flip through of your big fat book. I have never used so much washi tape until I started doing glue books. This just shows you there is no right or wrong in making a glue book as long as you have fun.

New subbie here. I'm going to be starting one of these tomorrow as an American you Tuber sent me one of these books today, we can't get Composition books in England. So I'm just seeing what I can do with it.

I've literally just finished putting ink on the pages. I'm going to call it my happy place and I will stick all my favourite things in it. Do you glue a couple of pages together or not?
Amazon Uk have them. Exercise books.
@@Sara-hp2qp exercise books are totally different. I have seen you can get composition books now but they are about £15, but in America they are a dollar.
@Gaga Toots I bought some off Amazon but they were really expensive - £11 for 2 if memory serves me correctly. I haven’t been able to find covers.

This is a new craft to me. You mentioned washy tape what is washy tape and where can I get it?
It is low tack tape that comes in many designs. You can find it in craft stores and on Amazon.

Office Max sells Composition Books for 2/ $1.... They are really nice to. Paper doesn’t seem to be soft and mushy. If that sounds right. Lol

This is the weirdest way I have seen a glue book to be prepared! I have been watching videos for a long, long time, I just don't see the need to mess it all up! It will be all covered up anyway! And the whole idea of the washi tape on the edge is to help keep two pages that have been glued together stay together. Here you didn't even put it on the outside edge. I guess I'm alittle confused as to making a mess of the pages!?!?
