A tiny bit about myself:
Hi, my name is Ivelisse. I've been artistic and creative my whole life. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy one. I'm a survivor of many trials and tribulations. It caused me to develop serious mental health issues. I was self-medicating by using drugs and alcohol for over twenty years. On August 1st, 2014, I threw myself at the mercy of the Lord and prayed to God to save me. I asked God to forgive me for all my sins, and I forgave everyone who ever hurt me. I've been sober and clean ever since. Glory be to God! I started my walk with Christ along with my health and fitness Journey, and soon after, I found myself itching to get back to my passion, my art! But: I didn't just want to do it for myself. I wanted to share what God blessed me with and did for me and the joy He brings me to others. Not long after, I created my UA-cam channel, DIY No Need To Cry! I took the bottles that were killing me and turned them into art. With each piece I make, I replace a bad memory and create new ones with all of you! Welcome to the crafty fam! God bless you all!

I want to apologize as one of the clips didn't come out. I put liquid pearls outlining her face. My editor had been updated and it did not work. This is why my video was late this week. It is a miracle I was even able to put this out as I had to edit while it crashed on me about 10 times.

Aww thank you and welcome to the family! :)
Very nice. New subbie.
Hi, Barbara! Thank you and welcome to the family! :)
what did you use to apply the rhinestones? Do you like Triple thick better than Modge Podge? Your bottle is AMAZING!
Amazing, what glue do you use for your rhinestones? I recently used e6000 to glue rhinestones to my phone case and they just keep falling off I thoughtcrimes was supposed to be very strong industrial glue
Hello 😊
Your work is amazing!!
I was wondering if you can put lights in the bottle and if so will it show through?
Thank you! :) For this bottle it would not show through because it's painted with 2 layers of white paint.
Absolutely Love your bottles!! I make bottles as well so I'm always seeking new ideas and concepts to try out and I came across your channel!!! Love Love Love!!! I do have a question, would you think it would be wise to cover the bottle with epoxy or would you stick with triple thick?
Thank you Tasjah! To be honest I wouldn't use any of those. I hate triple thick because it's not forgiving. Sometimes it works and sometimes it cracks. Epoxy would require you to constantly be rotating the bottle and you would also waist a lot of it. What I like to use now is Polycrylic or the clear spray sealers from Mod Podge. The Polycrylic comes in a glaze or spray. :)
DIYNoNeedToCry Thank you so much!! This really helps!! God Bless!!
Is this a Marilyn Monroe napkin ? And where can u purchase it ? Thank You
I love your DIYs. What is the benefit of using the pouncer brush?
Thank you! It doesn't leave streak marks like paint brushes might and It distributes the paint evenly. It's hard to paint on glass but I find that with the pouncer brushes you wouldn't even know that it is. :)
Hi Ivelisse! I have a question, I'm new to decoupage and I did my first project a few days ago and it turned out so great. But I did the napkin design over twine. I have an Etsy shop where I sell specialty wine bottle lamps. So in relation to that, my question is: Can you decoupage without painting the bottle white first? That way light can show through the paper?
Hello :) This is fairly new to me as well but I do know that you can decoupage without painting/priming it first. You just have to cut the tissue design out exactly around it so there's no excess tissue... because there is no paint for it to blend in with. Hope that helps :)
This is awesome Sauce... do you know if this will work with regular copier paper photo.
Thank you! There is a way to transfer photos (if it's laser printed) onto glass. I've been meaning to do a video on that but haven't had the time or supplies. I'm sure if you look it up on UA-cam, someone has done it. I'll be making a video on that as soon as I have what I need. :)
nice
Thank you! :)
new subbie 😘😘😘
Thanks you and welcome hun!!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Where in the world did you find the Marilyn napkins???
Another comment... I'm trying my best to do this decoupage thing... When I paint on glass... I'm having some MAJOR problems!! The first coat turns out perfect. I let it dry for quite a while to make sure it's well, dry. Lol As I put on the second coat, the first coat starts to peel off!! What am I doing wrong!?!?!? I'm so frustrated because I want to make some things for Christmas gifts!! Please help!!!
Chrissy
WOW👏👏👏👏👏😜
Thank you! :)
It looks Beautiful ! I was wondering where you purchase the tissue paper and do you use Mod pog to finish it ?
Thank you and everything I used is in the description box and the video gives a step by step of what I did and used. :)
Where do you find the tissue paper! I would love to make something like this with other pictures like football teams but cannot find the right tissue paper I went to the website and I couldn’t find any either. Any suggestions?
Sorry about that, it's an old video and the seller must not carry it anymore. Just Google "Marilyn Monroe paper napkins" you will find plenty more sellers. I made three different sports bottles here are the links to the videos. ua-cam.com/play/PLA4hMP-BRI529UTFQrZjSFQKsewsfNrQA.html
Love your work! Would you ever consider making more and selling?
Thank you, I'm not selling them at the moment because I have a lot to work out before I do. When I do decide to, I will let everyone know. :)
Beautiful I luv it I'm new to this and I want to know wats that tool that you was using to pick up the tiny rhinestones with and where can I get it from
Hello and thank you! I use the back of the paint brush I place the glue with. I dip the very tip (the tiniest amount) in Mod Podge, let it dry until it's tacky, then I start using it to pick up the rhinestones. :)
ok thank you for responding to me and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful creations
YW and welcome Dianna! :)
hi, I bought a large bottle and the napkins, had a practice on a jar but !!!! poor maralyn creased all over, can the tissue be too thin? I tried to rub out but made a mess
xx
Hello, I had the same problem. I just kept redoing it until I had at least most of her face without them and smoothed the rest with a crumpled up piece of plastic wrap. Be gentle with it and don't put to much Mod Podge where it gets all mushy and make sure to spread it evenly. Use a new piece of plastic wrap every time you attempt it. I have to make most of my projects more then once before I get it right so don't get discouraged. Try it again and let me know how it turns out! Good luck! xx :)
Hello, I'm trying to make a Dallas Cowboy bottle using a piece of paper not a napkin. I have 2 prints that I already printed out, will the ink run? Ane she doesn't like any glitter. So I'm not using glitter at all. I saw the packer video you did for your brother like that one. But where did you get the football at the top of the bottle? Please let me know. You did a wonderful job on both bottles.
Hello, 👋🏼 and thank you!! If you use a paper cutout I would suggest printing it out on a laser printer because the ink jet will run when you try and seal it with Mod Podge. It is standard practice for most places that print thing's out to use laser printers, so you can go anywhere that prints thing's, and most likely it will be a laser print out. You can ask just to make sure. As for the football I used, I got it as a package of different balls. It was in the baby toy section at Toy's r us. I believe I left a link in the description box of that video. One more thing, if you're planning on using a paper cutout, I would suggest following the way I did the logos on this video with your cutouts. I think it would look better. ua-cam.com/video/JGZZOCReggc/v-deo.html
In this video I glue the team logo on top of a separate piece of the mesh fabric, then I glue that onto the bottle. You don't have to use the mesh fabric, you can also use felt or even crafting foam. If you run into any problems or have any questions please feel free to ask and I'll try and help the best I can! Happy crafting!🤗
this would be nice as a gift on an unopened wine bottle
That's a great idea! I've thought about doing some like that but, i'm a recovering alcoholic and even though I don't get the urge to drink anymore... I like to stay away from it as much as possible. :)
Is there any alternate type of paper to use if you do not have the napkins? for example the print of a persons' photograph.
Hello, yes you can print out a picture but it has to be a laser copy or else the ink will run when you put Mod Podge over it to seal it. Most places use laser printers and the price of a copy is usually cheap. Some of the places I get my copies are... Walmart, Staples, FedEx and the library. Nine out of ten times these places have laser printers and if you are not sure, just ask. Also take into consideration that because you will be decoupaging paper, it will not be flat on the bottle as the paper is thicker then napkin. :)
Hey thank you for your quick response. Yes I thought about it, that you must be using napkins so it contours better to the curves of the bottle. Ill see what I can do. Thank you for your video tutorials they are so good.
You're welcome and thanks for watching! :)
Can you use poly acrylic under instead of modpodge?
If you mean to decoupage with... I've never heard of anyone using it to decoupage the napkin with so I wouldn't but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work. Typically when decoupaging, you want to use glue that is made for that. Testing a small section with a napkin you don't care about would be the only way to find out.
What kind of paint is used please? Mine seems to "sloth" off when applying the modpodge.. Ruined one part of napkin .. ugh :(
All the materials I use for each video are listed in the description box of each video. 🤗
How did the champagne cork fit into a regular wine bottle?
I just bought one's that fit.. they come in different sizes. :)
beautiful💕👄
Thank you
absolutely beautiful..where did you get the Marilyn napkins?
Hello Rhonda, thank you! :) I have the link to where I got mine in the description box. I always put a list of all the materials I use in all my videos. :)
I knew that..lol..totaly forgot that's where you put everything..juat love and adore your work and dameaner.awesomeness
Lol, it's okay and thank you!! :)
so did you just stick the tissue paper in your printer then print?
I bought these napkins online. The link is in the description box. :)
Do you have to use Acrylic paint or can I spray paint the bottle white?
Most people use chalk paint to do this because it dries matte and the acrylic paint I use is also matte. I think the tissue paper adheres better on this because of it. I don't know if using spray paint would work as I've never tried it but if you do, I would use a matte kind. :)
Oh and I think the spray paint may not stick to the glass that well, it might get bubbles and run. I think you need special spray paint with maybe a primer in it.
how did you put MM picture on the napkin
I bought them with the image already on them but you can just print out the image and create this. Just make sure to use a laser printout because an inkjet copy will run. Most places that they print copies use Laser copiers but you can ask to make sure.
Can You use a picture for a bottle project?
Hello, I've never done it but I've seen others who have. Just search picture transfer to bottle on UA-cam. :)
Hello can you please tell me what the tool you use to pick up the gems with? Did you make it yourself? I have been looking for a tool to pick up items like that for years. "And I must say, you have done beautiful work with this wine bottle" "Excellent!"
Hello, In this video I used the back of my paintbrush... the same one I used to apply the glue. What I used to do is put the tiniest amount of Mod Podge on the back end of the brush and let it dry. once it dried I could pick the rhinestones up with it lol. You can buy the proper rhinestone picker-uppers in any craft store I think and Thank you! :)
Thank you I will try that then.. :)
@@doreenducharme6053 did you try the back of the paint brush to attach the jewels?? wondering if it worked for you??
