I have to say that these pedals sound amazing ! but some times they make them sound amazing and when you buy it it may not after ? its happened before cause i saw some other video's where they were not as good !
Dude, I'm buying this pedal as soon as I sell the pedal I bought last week with the money from the pedal I sold the week before. Just hope I can sell this pedal to buy the one that comes out next week. Just sayin
Why didn't they bring these out at the same time that they brought the other ones out? I bought the Jim's 45, but I'd have bought the 900 instead of they'd have been out together!
I would've got the 800 over the 45 that i just got last week. Maybe I'll get another one but i haven't recorded with the 45 yet, so i don't know. I paired the 45 with the Fangs distortion pedal. I guess I'll really know when i hit record.
There is really no reason NOT to get every one of these pedals. For the price of a mid- Chinese manufactured Tube Combo, Half a dozen or more individual amps- that very few could differentiate from the target amp in a blind test. Playing, yes. Listening? Very few can tell. Some of these are definitely closer to OG than others though.
I don’t know, I got the BE-OD, and just got the Revv G4. They sound similar to some of these examples today. Maybe I’ll get used to that mid range tone of these newer pedals. But the tone and Chug I get from my BOSS Metal Core is still so awesome. But I should try and get more mids for my leads. I’ll try this Revv pedal maybe another week or two, then might have to move on to the the next-which may be either the Rectifier pedal, or the Peavey. Or just stick with BOSS! 🤘🏻😝🎸🇺🇸
watched a bunch of demos and this is easily the worst I've heard the Dual Wreck sound. Homestly, it's the worst I've heard any of them sound. I can't imagine the first few minutes making anyone want them
Definitely not dialed in to their full capability. And this dudes right hand isn’t really doing the pedals justice. Nothing against him, pretty good player but it think he’s more of an old school player

I'd want to see more bass setups. 80s Ampeg, 90s GK, maybe Hartke. Early 2k Eden. I have the 45 and Fangs distortion for guitar.
Engl fireball or Powerball next???
Diezel VH-4, Soldano SLO 100, Engl Savage mkII, Marshall JVM, Orange Rockerverb, Sunn Model T…. And the list goes on 😂
Is the 5150 not available now?
@@randomrob2221 yes
That 800 sounds fantastic!! Definitely the best one
Got the 3 of them. Love them, always a dilemma deciding which one I want to use.
We need a Fender Frontman G10 Ampworx pedal
I'm a bassplayer. I wish soon TC Electronic made an upgrade their TC SpectraDrive with CabSim or make more Ampworx pedal for bass.
I just bought an Acoustic bass pre D.I. It sounds good. I wanted the Ampeg one but this one is pretty cool.
800 sounds great
The 550 is a winner
Sweetwater, please let this man do all guitar related stuff on this channel, shall we?
Wow, these pedals sound legit!
Jims 800 is a killer!

Great review as usual. Thank you

Same boat. Bought the 45 last week.
Talented guitarist
I've heard these don't sound well ran into front of an amp. Any thoughts on this?
You will want to run it into an Effects Return, so that you bypass the amp's preamp.
Sweet!!!😊 I like it!!😊

There’s your answer
I would've got a different one too. I got the 45 last week.
Return it?

You need both.😅
Which way to go for a ritchie blackmore sound? jims 800 or the jims 45 of the vintage series?
I rather recommended a Carl Martin PlexiTone or an Xotic SL. Or even better a Vahlbruch Kaluna.
Been using the nux mg30 for a few months now and the dynamic range on these is horrible in comparison
You're comparing something you own to a UA-cam video? Or have you tried them side by side?

Compare it to a $30 jayo
The real jcm800 lead Sirius. The mid need to be cranked. But the pedal is completely different. But nice try
TC Electronic are losing the pedals war....they need to Update more
Did you not listen to these pedals? 😂
TC is the new King? 🤘🏻🇺🇸🎸
really digital sounding. rather just get a be-od or some other hi gain pedal

Duel not real to much gain. Good for people who cannot play also the 550 no good.
Van halen hardly use gains. It old school with volume do the math
Can we please have a more modern player in these videos? I like classic rock but we need more djent and prog players for high gain stuff
No thanks
Yah, there is no “we”. Except that…. WE LOVE NICK! 🤘😎🤘
Agreed.
The genre that you are talking about, they use fractal, Kemper, neural dsp, and plugins. So no... .
In NICK we trust!
The way these pedals were demonstrated made them sound terrible.
That sounds freakin Terrible…
Sounds about like a real 800, with the preamp cranked and master down.
Is it just me or do these sound terrible
I think they actually sound pretty good for what they are.
I'm with ya.
The JIMS 800 sounds decent, to me. Not into 5150s or Dual Rec amps, personally…
Definitely not dialed in to their full capability. And this dudes right hand isn’t really doing the pedals justice.
Nothing against him, pretty good player but it think he’s more of an old school player
That JIMS 800 rips
Just try first at a music shop or u will rip ya self
Firmware updates? Are they analog or digital?
